1st post!! Just got finished up college and got my lucky lady this VS1 J 1.25 ags000 Brian Gavin Blue. I decided to go with the classic look of the yellow gold 6 prong. Brian and Jamie were a pleasure to work with I just received it today and plan on giving it to her while in Germany two weeks from now. (sorry for the poor pix quality, I took it with my phone)

I've been lurking for months, but I finally signed up so that I can show off my new engagement ring! My boyfriend proposed last Sunday, and I love my ring so much.

The center stone is a 1.42 OEC, I color and VS2 clarity. It's from San Francisco Provident Loan, and they were amazing to deal with (I've seen Ben, the manager there, about once every 2 weeks for the past several months throughout the ring process). Like many older stones, this one faces up really white.

The setting was designed by my boyfriend and then custom made in San Francisco. It's set in platinum, and I was able to pick out the side stones so they fit my picky tastes (they are H color, VS2 clarity). There are 4 diamonds on either side, with two tiny surprise diamonds. Hopefully you can see the delicate milgrain and engraving in the pictures - it was all done by hand and there is so much tiny detail on all three sides of the ring. My fiance's wedding ring will have the same engraving on it so that our rings will match.

It's a fireball, and I'd love to get some more pictures that show it off, but it's been really overcast in California the past couple of days.

Everything was simple and perfect. He proposed to me on one of the most beautiful hikes in our area. It was on the top of a mountain by a stone tower. It was just so perfect. When he asked me we both cried (in a good way of course). Of course I said yes, because I love him so much and can't imagine my life without him. He's been everything I need and want.

And of course he gave me a gorgeous ring. Thanks to Good Old Gold. They made us a custom palladium solitaire made, and in it they set a beautiful 1.19 N SI1 August Vintage Round. My fiance did let me help to pick it out which was nice. It took a while to get everything together, and a lot of correspondence and patience from Jonathan. He was tremendously helpful. Thanks!

I received this sapphire as a gift from my husband to celebrate the birth of our 2nd child. The stone is a 1.5 carat unheated padparadscha, purchased from Richard Wise.

After seeing PS examples of Steven Kirsch's amazing work, I sent the stone to him to be set in this platinum/diamond halo (ring size 4.25). Customer service was wonderful and Steven's attention to detail impeccable. The ring is gorgeous !

I got my asscher back last week in its new setting! I previously had a 1.5mm pave shank and felt that it was too delicate so I had the stone set in an identical setting but with a 2.1mm shank. Anyway, I feel that asschers and EC's get a tough rap when it comes to fire and brilliance so I wanted to show just what these pretties are capable of! AND of course invite all of my fellow asscher and EC lovers to post pics of theirs as well!!

OK with that said I am still a newbie around here and apologize in advance for not knowing how to post mulitple pics in one post, and I'll apologize again for the number of pictures that I'm going to post......but I'm soooo in love with this ring and you all said that I could shamelessly show it off!

long story short, the proposal was perfect but the post-proposal search for a ring was an obstacle course! so many people on pricescope were so super helpful, eventually getting us to the right stone (JA True Hearts 1.05 E VS2 AGS000) and to the right custom jeweler (Joe Escobar) to create the plain shank halo setting. I know if we hadn't found this site we would never have found THE ring... thank you all so much!

My Finacee and I vidly read the forums on Pricescope while searching for my e-ring. He finally decided to go with Yuketiel at ID jewelry. He was easy to work with and made us a GORGEOUS ring! We got engaged on May 15th and I haven't stopped looking at it since! I was always interested in the specs of the diamond, so here they are:

Details:
1.33 G VS1 hearts and arrows from Whiteflash, I love this stone!
Steven sketched up a halo with the stems coming to a point instead of the donut, this will allow a matching wedding band to sit very close. There is also a small stone inside the band where the stems meet. I gave him a few modifications and sent him the stone and he was off. Ring showed up on time and the first time I saw it was when I opened the package. It is stunning!
He was a pleasure to work with and I will definitely work with him again in the future! I cant recommend Steven or Whiteflash enough. Thank you Pricescope for introducing me!

I will continue to add more photos to this thread as I'm able to get better pictures and more of them. I've yet to propose so I'm still doing a lot of "sneaking" around. It is surprisingly hard to get a really good diamond photo! The first two I've attached were taken with a Canon 7D DSLR camera. So far in my opinion, none of the pictures come close to capturing how nice this ring really is. It's a platinum setting, with a 1.01 G/VS2 center stone graded by GIA (EX/EX/EX). Thank you to everyone here who helped point me in the direction of Excel Diamonds. They did an amazing job on this replica and saved me nearly $4000!

So... My fiance purposed one week ago today. Today is actually our 1 year anniversary, so I was expecting it today and he suprised me by doing it a whole week early. We are both still in college, going into our final semesters, and he is absolutely perfect for me, but given that we are both broke college kids, I really wasn't expecting much of anything (and was fine with that) and was totally stunned when he presented me with this ring. I know it's far from perfect to a lot of the people on this website who have 3 carat diamonds, but its way more than I expected and I'm excited nontheless. Not to mention, it's super sentimental. We started dating on May 26 and we will be getting married on May 26 of next year (one year from today!!! AHH!) and he made sure that the combined number of diamonds in my wedding and engagement ring set is... 26 And on top of that, the total carat weight of my engagement ring is 2.6 Sorry in advance for all of the photos... it's probably way over the top. I recently purchased this setting on EBAY for a diamond that my MIL gave to me 13 yrs ago when my husband and I got married. The diamond was set in a necklace but I never liked or wore. I initially saw this setting on JbEG on their consignment semi mount section and really loved it but it wasn't in my budget. Then I stumbled across it on EBAY I don't know if it's the same exact setting as on JbEG but it looks very similar. Diamond is 1.2 ct, it looks way bigger in pictures. Bad timing I have to pick up my 6 yr old so I'm going to be back with more pictures and details!

First off, SHE SAID YES!

That was just over a week ago and after having to rush around organising a venue for the wedding I finally have some time to share the ring the I had custom made. First off, thanks for the help I received here, especially DiamondSeeker2006 who showed me a cool looking prong design in my design thread here. I would also like the thank the team at Whiteflash, particularly Joe the designer as he had to deal with my perfectionist personality.

So the ring has a G, VS2, 1.25ct centre stone and the band is made from platinum. I couldn't be happier with the ring and more importantly my fiancée thinks it is the best ring she has ever seen and can't stop staring at it.

Many thanks to Adam, the true talent in the end results, at Sareen who sent samples for me to try on and then made changes and more changes.. so I could have exactly what I wanted...
