#JOTW Sapphire ring by Steven Kirsch

I received this sapphire as a gift from my husband to celebrate the birth of our 2nd child. The stone is a 1.5 carat unheated padparadscha, purchased from Richard Wise.

After seeing PS examples of Steven Kirsch's amazing work, I sent the stone to him to be set in this platinum/diamond halo (ring size 4.25). Customer service was wonderful and Steven's attention to detail impeccable. The ring is gorgeous !

My little guy actually turned 3 last week! I received the stone when he was about one and only recently had it set. I have his initials and his older brother's engraved inside the shank "B & N" (not for "Baby Nurse", for "Benjamin and Noah" ).

But, I would have guessed that B&N stands for Barnes and Noble!
Really, I like the idea of the babies' initialls. For us it would be S & K, which can also stand for DH and me. (Ideas...PS is always giving me new ideas...!)

Thank you, marcy! It really does have an amazing orangey-pink (pinkish-orange?) color. I love Steven's pics for the detail-- mine are a little fuzzy, but the stone's color in his pics is a little bit brown. IRL it's a really pretty delicate color without any brown.
