Hi.

I've wanted to ask you this for a while and since you mentioned it in the other thread is there a link where I see your diamond (and maybe your research?) ?

I think your diamond is beautiful. I'd appreciate it. Thanks. :))

Bump because this thread is on the second page. I'll try one more time (Cehrabehra is in China; I have no idea what time(s) it is there!). :saint:

Bumping it again for you Imdanny... Hope she see's it.

Hi Danny! My hardrive died and I have nonputer, I'm on my phone... I will get it for you thoughin your tomorrow :)

Thanks, both! Until then. :wavey:

Dreamer_D, thanks.

Cehrabehra, this is a real dream stone. I love everything about it.

I especially love the picture on page 5, 8 from the top (which I tried to copy here but couldn't).

You must miss it a lot!

Hi Danny (thanks dreamer :))

You asked about my research and so here are some links I really enjoyed early on...
This first link is just for fun, to show that as a noob we all ask questions that seem silly later on and don't get responses ;) Bonus - kinda fits in with the whole crushed ice thread haha https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/flash.47414/

Four years ago there were maybe a handful of good cushion threads out there and none of them scratched my itch. I wanted info so badly but the research just hadn't been done. The people buying stones now have such a great benefit for all of the legwork that's been done, and yet cushions are still the mystery they always were... https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/frustrated.47749/

An early post attempting to start condensing information... funny if you look at recent topics this is, four years later, still something that could show up today lol https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/the-cushion-quest.47943/

This was one of my favorite threads... starts with me complaining that there is no technology in the cushion frontier. https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/fancy-gurus-please.47678/

There were so many posts of mine expressing a desperation for the lack of information. https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/stats-on-old-stone-cuts.49855/

As dreamer posted - here is the thread I started when I first got my stone: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/cbs-omc-pix.50194/

These are some pictures I took outside by the light of the moon only - no streetlamps nearby, all lights off in and around the house, no close neighbors... I had so much fun taking these pictures. https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/by-the-light.50589/

I have always had a fascination with fire... here was an early attempt for me to identify it. I'm still not sure I have clear boundaries/definitions on them... especially the dispersion one. https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/help-me-identify.50527/

This is my PSA - DON'T take your loose diamond out to a park. https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/omg-ive-learned-my-lesson.50622/

This topic JUST came up this past week in deb's thread... for whatever its worth here's a 4 year old answer... https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/yellow-diamonds-and-fire.50427/

I always knew my stone was imperfect but it was magical to me and quirky in the ways that suited me... as evidenced by this post lol https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/im-such-a-dork.51009/

I've made my decision to keep the stone here... https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/sold.50566/

And on that note I will stop... I definitely don't want to rehash the creating of the ring lol But thank you for inquiring, I do love my stone, I do miss my stone, and I'm glad to have the opportunity to share my experience :) It was actually really nice to look over all of that again, I really miss it. It never performed in my ring the way it did out of the ring so I know it has its issues, but I look at those old pics of the stone unset and I know I just have to find the right setting and it will be everything I know it is. I think I did pretty good, especially back in the day :)

Oh, and were you referring to this photo?

Indeed.

And thanks for the links!

Very enjoyable. :))

Cehrabehra - Just wanted to let you know that I feel in love with antique style cushions 4 years ago when I was still only a lurker here on PS because of your stone. :wavey:

I just re-visited your old threads and your stone still captivates me like it did then. Cehrabehra, your diamond is simply stunning. One day, I would like to own an OMB similar to yours. It is my wish and dream.

Cachette :))

Cehrabehra, Question for you.
In your avatar your stone is show in a temporary tension setting, correct? I am guessing it came with your stone, but where can you order one?
Thanks,
Anne

Hi, thanks :) It is in a bank box right now, I haven't seen it since early december. I'm living in China right now and I couldn't get insurance for that much here. I think I may have found something though through USAA - maybe - but I'm still not sure if I want to bring it, I really miss it though so I might, but I have to get back to the states and get it first and that's gonna be a while.

:) You're welcome. I feel like I am self promoting here lol I may use this opportunity to tuck a few random pics that aren't in those threads here so I can have one stop shopping for myself when I want pics or links lol

Oh Anne, I have absolutely no idea! The diamond was in it when I got it and I still have it somewhere... I'd start a thread here on RT and inquire, I doubt most people are reading this one.

Sara those were fun to read ::)

Your cushion has always been one of my favourites - I just love its shape and chunk

I love the sparkle of the RB, but I also love the chunky flashes of fire a cushion stone give off! Yours is delightful!

that's it.

my next diamond purchase has to be one like yours! love it!
