Thanks Ame!
I got the diamond and setting from Martin at www.usacerteddiamonds.com. I don''t know who the design is, I simply chose it from his collection of examples because I loved it! After I posted it on here, somebody pointed out that it looked like a Cartier design, so maybe its a similar copy of that.

Oohh - I loved looking at the thread so much before I got engaged and I forgot to come back here to post my ring. The center stone is 1.12 ct G/SI1, found for us by a local B&M in SF, and the setting was made by Signed Pieces, shared prong in platinum, side stones 0.025 ct each. Its only 1/2 eternity, but here it is:
47b5da24b3127cce915c020568f400000026108AZNGLlyzYuB

and from the side:
47b5da24b3127cce915c0206e9c700000026108AZNGLlyzYuB

and of course a hand shot (pardon the morning puffy hands):
47b5dd32b3127cce90fc102f06f400000016108AZNGLlyzYuB

and finally a shot that captures (albeit in a blurry manner) a little bit of the fire, although as usual, none of these pictures do justice to how amazing the ring looks in person:

Man, this is still my favorite thread. My tastes are getting progressively more expensive... he should propose soon if he wants to keep it reasonable!!

I have seen all the beautiful eternity sets here and thought this would be an appropriate question to ask here. I am looking to get a diamond wedding band, shared prong with seven .08 - .10 stones, yes it is a half circle and not eternity. I have up until now only worn a platinum and gold wedding ring, which I do not remove 24/7 so I''m a bit nervous about wearing a diamond band all the time. Do you ladies wear your diamond wedding ring all the time? How does it hold up to things like washing dishes and stuff like that. Did you baby it at first and now do what you need to do while wearing it, or consciously remove it when you know you will be doing things that may damage it?

I look forward to your opinions,

Bridget

Hi Bridget,
I wear my set daily and take it off to wash dishes, my hands... anything that involves water and a drain really. I have a half eternity with shared prongs also, and while I don''t think the ring is very delicate, I am very careful with it. I think it mostly has to do with fear of losing them down a drain and having to clean it more frequently because of soap and gunk getting in them.
Hope that helps,
Paula

i wear my set daily and never take it off except to sleep at night and take off my big ring when i go to the gym. but my w-ring stays on all the time except in sleep.

i find that the eternity rings if made right are very hardy, my particular design has each small melee held in with 4 prongs each, so it''s VERY secure, aka if one prong breaks i don''t worry about the diamond being lost, and are protected with a good amount of metal.

also remember diamonds are very hardy, and if you get platinum, it''s a strong metal as well. so i wouldn''t worry about regular everyday life damaging your rings...the only exception is if you get an eternity ring with thin pave which may not have enough metal to protect and hold the stones in if something were to bend or break.

Thought I would post my set since I got my new eternity band. It is similar to Brocksgirl24''s in that it''s a plain solitaire w/ an eternity band. I''ll post pics of the band with my new WF stone since I will consider that my "real" set!

I wanted to clarify that this thread is only for diamond eternity or eternity style sets, where both the e-ring and the w-ring are eternity or look that way from the top down..

As lovely as the solitaires are with eternity rings...there is actually another thread for that...I just want to keep this one visually on-topic for future researchers!!

Here is the solitaire and eternity ring thread:
