#JOTW Over The Moon for "Lara" My New 6.59 ct. EC From IDJ In Her Forever Home!!!

I did go into the city on Friday and saw some 5ct EC rings..... I say rings - bc they were already set (can be changed) but the one in particular stone I had my heart set on - was not available.... I'm not sure if my guy procrastinated to pull it or it was not really available. There is one other stone extremely similar to it - but everything I have liked - is not in the US and I guess they need to buy it directly for me to see it. Or I could perhaps buy from the web that has posted it and then return if it is not what I had anticipated. In the interim, thankfully, I had requested 4 videos from various vendors (of far away stones), and none of them had remote potential... I did see one stone I fell in love with.... but it was out of my budget. A 4ct+ H/VSS1 (1.5 ratio) and set with a halo - which looked magnificent... I LOVED it!!! I think it was about $70k something unset... It lit up like a firecracker and after seeing that, nothing remotely compared. I will keep on looking. Thanks so much for checking in. PS I will try and post the halo one I was talking about.. (the halo was too thick for my taste (sapphired) but gorgeous, nonetheless)!!

These photos do not do the ring justice- in the slightest. It looks dark across the belly but it was literally pure brightness! Not crazy about the side band - nor how large the sapphire halo was (for me

. Below are the 2 other ones I saw (5cts one a K and one an L). They look terrible in these shots but in person were much nicer and not yellow looking. The settings - again were not for me and took away but the first top photo was a better cut and brighter than the below one. But the EC w H/VVS cut blew these away. And it wasn’t the color. It was the cut that you could see into each step w out any darkness whatsoever.

Thanks so much for the report. Sorry the ones you saw didn't work out, but I know you'll find the right one, at the right price. It's hard when you've seen the best (like blingaling's), it does indeed set the bar high!

. Awe. Thank you for the kind words . Sadly, I have not seen anything else. Do you have any suggestions of perhaps dealers that tend to carry larger EC’s and in lower colors? As mentioned, part of the problem is that most I am interested in, are far and away and need to be brought in. I can always buy one and then return it but I would prefer (probably like everyone else (hahah) just go and see it prior to purchasing! How did you come across yours? Thank you again and please post as many photos as possible w that stunning ring on your finger!!

So I have decided to order a simple solitaire double claw setting. However, when DSS sets in, I will reset into a halo in the future. I love halo but it has to be a small tiny one. I want to live with my stone first and see what works. Good luck with your search! So fun!

I decided to go with platinum. To deal with replating is too much. I am getting it by end of next week, I am so excited. I have never had a ring set online. I have no idea how it would look. Fingers crossed all will go smooth!

Have you ever looked at "Bigblondehair.com"? It's a website that "reports" the fashions from the Bravo shows (and others) and lets you know where you can buy them (including make-up and other products!) with posts that directly link to the stores' websites so you can buy them right there! I signed up so I get their emails every day or so and I have bought some items that I've loved and been very happy with, including some items that Dorit owns...although lately...the prices of her things...just a "tad" of my range!!
Yes, it should be fun to watch this season and I can't wait!!! Did you hear that LVP might not be on the season following this one? Supposedly, she had a falling out with a cast member and decided to bow out. I will miss her, but there's always Vanderpump Rules! We will see...!
