Thanks, Rosebloom! I will admit that that is my very favorite picture (the full picture of that is on page 4)! There was no flash and it was taken in front of a window with the diamond facing away from the light. I don't know why it did that, really. The facet pattern is there, of course, but it is not normally lit up like that!

Thanks for all your help and advice, Dem! Your opinion about preferring the old cuts over H&A was very influential in helping me take the leap in the first place. Seeing the pictures of your gorgeous stone with Dreamer's was so helpful! Dreamer's encouragement to go bigger and to have one ring to rule them all was in my brain, too! I do not think I would have gone to a 2.3 in a mrb as that wasn't ever on my radar. But when I saw how beautiful the facet patterns were in larger AVR stones, it was hard to go back down to the size I was originally aiming for! I love it that some of you have found excellent cut antique cuts and if I ever run across one, maybe I can snap it up for a RHR or earrings, etc. But this stone is everything I could want for an e-ring! Thank you again!!!

They are similar and once they shrink to avatar size I guess you can't really see the difference! I might try the other one and see how it looks small, though! (You can tell I have been working on pictures tonight for the other thread,too!)
