I contacted Adam and enquired about a Paraiba at the same time as I asked Doug if I could have the orphan natural blue topaz Asscher, and the Asscher won. Just hope the Paraiba I am hoping to get is still available later in the year, fingers crossed!

Now the cat is out of the bag.

Adam provided me with a payment plan which is workable for me. However, I can only start the project when I have the pennies to spare, hopefully in late September, as I should have finished paying for the big Danburite by Jeff W.

Here is a couple from Jerry Newman which definitely shouldn't be regarded as "Paraiba" but they may or may not be copper bearing. I suspect they are, until I am sure they will be referred to as greenish blue Tourmaline.

Has a GIT memo stating it's copper bearing, and it's 13 carats. The needles are typical.


Precision cut cuprian backlit to show the facet pattern.


More of an indicolite, but it has a GIT memo stating it's copper bearing
