Your Latest Jewelry Purchases/Things You're Considering....

I have not been buying really, but I checked out the Real Real this weekend.

They had two grandma - chic big earrings that were great prices that are very my style. One pair was almost identical to scrap weight! And they are pretty. The pearl ones, hard to say gold v pearl. weight but I think they are very fairly priced. Hopefully they are nice! Screenshot_20250616-155542.pngScreenshot_20250616-155549.png

I wish my grandma had been that chic!

I just got a dainty new-to-me band with the original engraving from 1917! Added bonus: it's platinum with a 22k liner. Size 8.25, which I can wear on my middle, index, or thumb on both hands. I'm so excited, a perfect little stacking ring!

Isn’t she incredible

She’s an old girl… like 250 year old Georgian silver on gold bonnet setting with 4cts of old cuts… like crazy tall delicious crowns. She will need a center gemstone…

Her introduction thread will be up this week sometime

So excited to hear more! What a great setting! I can't wait to hear what you're planning to do :)

I have a solid 18k Blais with nearly the same pattern!

I love these two tone bands, there’s something very special about that detail only the wearer knows about.

I can't eat gluten so I don't like wheat patterns as it feel like a personal attack  I was so happy to find two-tone, not wheat, original date engraving, great shape, and in a relatively large ring size. I scooped it up right away! This one is CD Peacock. I just look at the engraving and marvel at how very difficult it must have been to make it so small and so precise on all of these antique bands.

WAIT WHAT!!!!!!!!!????????????????????? HOLD UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is STUNNING!!!! I knew you were "saving up" for something but holy cow!!!!
What gorgeous flowers! :P2

Thank you

I’m trying to condense her story and it’s taking a bit, lol! The flowers just started blooming - that purple pink Salvia is probably my favorite perennial we have. I didn’t even realize how perfect she looked with those two colors until I saw the photos later.

We are 1917 wedding ring buddies! Mine also has a crisp platinum petal design & a 22ct gold inner. This is beautiful. Please add it to the antique wedding ring thread in the Antique forum :kiss2:

It would have been die struck, so stamped in a mold, but I suppose someone carved the original template for the stamp now I think of it… but they only had to get it right once! So they could pay a master a fair price but manufacture it for a more affordable price I guess.

Oh that makes perfect sense! Thank you for the explanation!

I love your band, it was one of the reasons I jumped on this one!

@lala646 your recent earrings are increasing my hankering for earrings! They are on my list of things I need next.

I do love fun earrings!!

I’ve never worn anything other than small hoops but in my current effort to increase and diversify my collection, fun earrings are in the list! I love the scale of your recent additions. I think I need that. I often wear my hair down so there needs to be substance there to stand out.

I rarely wear anything smaller than 1"/25mm, and 2-2.5" is probably my sweet spot. I've been contemplating having a new pair of studs made, but I don't know if it's worth the trouble given how seldom I wear them.
I've been out of town this last month, and these are the pairs I brought with me. 3 YG, 2 silver.

Perfection.

I can only wear gold in my ears unfortunately. I suppose I could get gold pairs for silver earrings. But I prefer gold metals.

I think my first fancy pair will be pearl drops, likely three graduating pearls. Next special gift for myself I think!

After a brief skirmish with a lab asscher that got returned, I got this lab marquise ring and am in love! Its a HPHT with no bowtie and tons of fire and sparkle.

Wow, you really managed to capture the sparkle.

One pair of earrings arrived! They are more lustrous than the photos show. I thought they would be nice pearls based upon the photos, but I am happily surprised! These are keepers. The price was fantastic for what these are!
