Well everyone, I have decided to put this piece up for sale.. posting on Loupetroop if anyone is interested! Not looking to make anything off of it, just recoup what I originally paid.

Oh my, it gets complicated, doesn't it? :p

So, as mentioned, I prefer yellow gold settings with yellow stones, so I set the chrysoberyl aside for now. But then the green vanadium lab YAG above just didn't look quite right to me. Maybe because I also had a yellow gold setting in mind for it too, I don't know.

I'm trying again and just ordered this cornflower blue lab sapphire. Can't go wrong with a "classic," right? It's from Jeff Davies and Sons, as is the green lab YAG above (11x9mm). He really does such a wonderful job. If anyone is interested, his lab gems are half off right now.

Thanks for the tip. I wish they had more color choices in spinel.
 
IMG_5853.pngIMG_5854.png Having this ring made with alternating emeralds and diamonds. Recently lost my Mom and emerald is her birthstone. Five emeralds and 4 diamonds. Excited to see it done. Love this ring by DK and thought it would look nice with the emeralds.

Waiting on this to arrive. Described as:

“French vintage art deco eternity band 18k white gold set with 0.50 carats of square cut diamonds in a finely crafted setting
Magnificent and rare Art Deco goldsmith work.

Do we think the diamonds are carre or asscher? Not really sure so thought I would ask. Pretty stoked to find an eternity with this cut in my size. Now what to part with to cancel it out :D

Wow, haven't seen one like this before. That is really going to add some interest in what ever stack you wear it with (or alone for that matter.)

This band checks all the boxes for me, eternity, bezel set (or channel is good too) and luckily since I lost weight….my size :cool2:
 
last week was my big 50th! I went into the day expecting nothing, but I was going to me kind to myself and relax. Turned out to be the best birthday yet! My brother bought my moissy bezel studs, and the doorbell was ringing all day! I just LOVE THIS! The detail on the bezels is just beautiful!

I'm thinking they are carre cut because of the way the bezels are shaped but, whatever they are, they look like clear, white, well cut step cuts. So pretty and great find!
 
I got my little Jemma Wynne pearl ring, and as some of you suspected the pearls were good enough! Not nearly as good as my Molines (blue pearl ring), of course, but they hold up well enough compared to the baby Mikimoto band ring. Just for reference, I also threw in my Takahashi/Pearl Paradise "gem" Akoya in an earring:

I particularly like it with my Cheyenne Weil snake ring because they do best in different lighting. I feel like pearls prefer indirect light and the spinel wants as much light as possible so there's always something looking its best.
