Your Latest Jewelry Purchases/Things You're Considering....

About 5g each which is fully within my comfort zone. And they have omega backs, so very comfortable and balanced.
Even better! What a great find. And of course, happy birthday :)

My latest "maybe" is on the way! A Tiffany HardWear Pearl Lock Bracelet. I can't tell if this is the small, medium or large version (which I think corresponds to 18", 20", or 22") . I'm hoping to wear it as a long necklace (ideally 22"). We'll see when it arrives!

@canuk-gal The birthday earrings just arrived, and I love them!! DH also thinks they're really cool, which is an added bonus.

OHMIGOD I freakin' died! These are stunning!!!! I am totally jeali!!! Total score girl! And happy BD!!!!

I want to get something exciting and new but without spending a ton. Don't we all?

I'm thinking about getting this ring and switching the freshwater pearls out to nicer Akoyas from Moline. It should fit my ring and index fingers on both hands without resizing. It would be $680 + tax and shipping but I would get $80 back for a future purchase if I get it before the end of tomorrow. Final sale, unfortunately. The Moline pearls would add a few hundred extra depending on what exactly I go for but it would be a matched Akoya pair.

My other pearl rings are all middle finger, not ring finger:

And my only 'vertical' ring:

Yes! Splendid idea! I love pearl rings and this is a great price for a setting.

@newtojewels Not to enable you but have you checked out the rest of the Jemma Wynne line? It is STUNNING. I would trust them with my life. It’s just all exquisite. I don’t think you’re going to need to swap for Moline unless you want gem grade. I’d wear it into the ground and enjoy it. I love pieces I can wear and have zero worries about.

The pearls are freshwater pearls and I've gotten kind of pearl picky....But I would buy the ring first to see, no need to swap if there's no need to swap! I love the pink sapphire and asscher diamond ring TRR has from her, speaking of, that's just more than I want to spend on a single item right now.

I actually went to go see an Assael bracelet yesterday which should have been top notch and the price is great but in addition to being too big around for my wrist (I was hoping the measurement was wrong but it wasn't!) the pearls were just meh to me. Obviously it isn't totally fair to compare bigger Akoyas to smaller for luster but I've seen some pearls close to the bracelet size that hold up to my ring and these just didn't to my eyes. Which was lucky because that bracelet was lots more than I want to spend!

Here's the Assael bracelet compared to my ring:

I don’t know how I missed so many updates to this thread! I love all the goodies! Especially that Ruby, Ring, and Lala‘s earrings! @lala646

I bought this ring a few months back. It is stunning. The ruby is just under 7 cts. Diamonds, not sure, but quite a bit.IMG_8189.jpegIMG_8166.jpeg

Wowsers!

Wow that’s a real difference! You are spoiled now for pearls which is both good and bad I imagine.

I love pearl bracelets and I’m thinking one might be my next purchase. Something modest but nicer than I have currently.

Omg I love love love that pearl bracelet but then again wave any pearl bracelet at me and I’m sold!

My gold pearl ring and long necklace scattered with akoyas.

I thought it was super fun! Here's the link if anyone is interested. I think it's a very good price for what it is (just look how much it weighs!), but unfortunately it's final sale if you don't love it. My wrist is 5.75"/14.6cm and it's too big around for me and might have even fallen off, I would guess it would suit a 6.5"/16.5cm wrist: https://www.therealreal.com/products/jewelry/bracelets/bangle/assael-18k-pearl-cuff-bracelet-l6bnl

Love your pearls, of course! :kiss2:

And yes, thanks but no thanks to Moline! And again, Assael is high quality so it's not like they were bad pearls by any stretch.

Oakgem had one on their site--I wondered how it would look IRL. It does look large.

I found my White Whale green sapphire from Madagascar and should be here in a month or so. It is 1.18 carats, the perfect shade of green and most importantly, untreated.

I wasn’t looking for a specific weight but 1.18 is super special because we got married in January of 2018.

It’s being set in a rose gold solitaire.

Oh I love all of these especially the last one! You wear them well and have gorgeous young hands!!

Sorry for the blurry but it’s the only way I could get the colors correct. I’ve picked up round sapphire with the intention to turn it into a pendant. I want to wear it on a thicker chain and a thinner chain. Thoughts on settings that would work and also wouldn’t flip? Every time I do a floating pendant the thing flips and it drives me bananas.

I would try to find a setting with a flat back so that it would hopefully not flip.

It’s 3 cts but 7.48 mm wide, so it is kinda deep. Think a stuller setting would work or would I need to go custom?

I think it could work. I would consult with a jeweler to get their professional opinion. Are you thinking about a fixed or sliding pendant?

Sliding. I’d like to use it on a thin chain I have and I’m looking for a 4ish mm curb chain so I want go use it for both.
