As a follow up to my last post in April, I finally received my finished moval ring maybe 2 weeks ago and have been lazy to post

But here she is, my new (antique) 1.98ct N SI2 moval diamond from Gilded Lane in an antique inspired platinum setting with tapered diamond shoulders, hidden halo and engraving by David Klass. I purchased the diamond as a Mother's Day + life milestone gift to myself this year and I'm so pleased with how it turned out.






I can't even describe how bright and insanely fiery the moval is, and the setting just makes me swoon every time I wear it I think I have almost walked into people on the street because I'm busy staring at it lol

Do any of the diamonds in your halo fluoresce too?

Just a few are faint. I called and asked customer service to check in about doing all fluorescent melee. Here’s a thing about Ritani that I’ve seen. They do a very good job in setting rings but their customer service poor. I had to make three calls to request this with no promised follow up from their end. Honestly, I think I’m about done using them for that reason.

I just bought this beautiful engraved sterling silver locket for my mom for her 73rd birthday. It’s very large and it’s engraved 1938 on the back. I’m planning to put a picture of my sons when they were little boys on one side and a picture of our family dog on the other, who is basically her child.


And our dog, Loki the miniature poodle.

Overtone is neutral and light-to-medium rose, no green in this pair. The surfaces are very clean and the luster is very good.

I have a mini poodle too, plus another that's 50% but doesn't have the poodle look. Such a great breed!

In any case, the ring is stunning!

When I asked, the CSM was very hesitant and said they usually don't use flourescent melee in the Masterworks collection. I have a couple of faint or medium. I would have been fine with a "no" to full flourescent. However, they said they would check and call back. Two days later no call, so I called back in and they said they had emailed, but had no answer, and they were going to production in a bit and would call me back and check for me, and then did not. No call no email. My ring shipped 2 days later. It is a well made pretty ring, but dissapointed in the lack of communication. This is my 23rd purchase with Ritani. I have never made any extra request before.

I wanted something larger to fit her proportions and so the pictures would be larger. I’m going to buy a very long rollo chain so it hangs lower and she can easily open it to look at the pictures . But I wanted substantial, like a talisman a medieval witch might wear.

Loki is a wonderful pet and he had made a huge difference in my mom’s life. She sites in him and he is her love child. His only bad habit is he hates other dogs lol
