What do you think of this setting?

Eh, I'm ready and it'd be nice to get the ring sometime in June but it's not critical. So I can be flexible.

Okay, that's good -- no pressure to buy right now. I don't blame you - hold out for the right stone. :))

You may want to check with a few vendors to see what the turnaround time on that Scholdt setting is... that may impact your time frame.

I want to get the setting and stone from same vendor if possible right?

Yeah, I'd try to... But you should see how long it will take Scholdt to make that setting. Sometimes it can take upwards of several months, depending on the brand.

More realistically, I would guess between four and six weeks.

So purely because I'm a product guy can someone give me an "explain it like I'm five years old" breakdown of how this all gets done? Why does it take six weeks, assuming I ask for a specific setting and a specific stone? Thanks in advance. I work in tech and love knowing the HOW behind a product.

I can't wait to see how this turns out! That sholdt halo is intensely beautiful!!!

Well, let's say you choose your stone today and tell the vendor you want it set in that Scholdt setting. Scholdt has to make a setting to fit your stone specifically. Nothing technical... that's about it. It just takes time for their bench to make it. It probably depends on how many orders are in as well.

...and 6 weeks was just an estimate. It's possible they already have some made to fit the stone and it will be a much quicker turnaround. You just need to speak with the vendor and see -- but choose the diamond first. [emoji1360]

Makes sense, thanks!
