The reason I'm not saying just buy from that website she likes is I don't personally know them or have seen anyone buy from them so I cannot personally vouch for their diamond or setting quality.

As mentioned above this one really jumps at me. It strikes me as very her. The pics look dark - BG doesn't have any other pics of it though and can't find any on the social medias.

I think Niel knocked it out of the park on the Scholdt setting -- it's AWESOME! I also agree that you may have better luck on diamond pricing at Pearlman's - I'd try to hit the 6 mm mark.

If you could get platinum, that would be great too!

Don't focus on carat weight -- only compare the diameter/size in mm for reference. It's very possible for stones of lower carat weight to face up larger than another "heavier" stone. For example, a 0.75 ct can have a larger diameter than a 0.8 ct...
