neatfreak - I''m sure you do understand the pain with the big dogs...I think it was actually the equipment that did most of the damage (imagine a giant see-saw/teeter-totter, made of really heavy metal...) Ugh
Monnie - I''m sure you could train a beagle for agility. Especially at the beginning levels, its mostly done in a controlled environment (i.e. minimal distractions). You use really high-value treats (cut up Natural Balance logs, hot dogs, cheese, chicken, whatever), you start with your dog hungry, and you give them tons of encouragement. Most of them take to it pretty quickly and think its great fun. I''m sure a trainer could work with you on focusing your dog on you if distractability were a problem. Give it a shot if you can find classes in your area - awesome way to bond with your dog, and lots of fun!
