Thank you Pricescope! The 10K gift thread

My gift came last week but I was so busy preparing for my sister's wedding that I haven't yet had a chance to enjoy it.

I copied NeatFreak and ordered a Jewel Jet from Wink Jones! I'm so excited to use it once I'm feeling a bit steadier on my feet. I want to share how wonderful Wink was to work with. Jewel Jets are suddenly very difficult to come by because they are rolling out a new version within the next several months, so at first it looked like I wasn't going to be able to get one. However, Wink took it upon himself to contact his buddies in the business and he located a unit for me and had it sent right away. He was so wonderful that I hope I can work with him on a jewelry project in the future.

So, a big thank you to Wink Jones for finding a Jewel Jet for me, and an even bigger thank you to Andrey for the very generous gift! I'll show before and after pictures once I'm feeling well enough to use it. So excited!

Haven, what a great gift! DH bought me one for Christmas the year we got engaged and I love it! I've had it for over two years and as long as you don't leave it plugged in, it's hard for it to break down!

Tacori, I haven't gone out and tried on a comfort fit band yet with my solitaire but I might soon. Since summer has arrived my anniversary band is often tight in the morning (it's kind of oval instead of round).

I copied Haven and Neatfreak and also got a Jewel Jet cleaner from Wink! He rustled up the last two "in captivity" (his words ) and sent one along to me. I cannot wait to use it. My ultrasonic is really not working very well anymore, and never worked as well as steam anyways!

So thanks so much to WINK (da man!) and Andrey (da other man!) for helping keep my diamonds sparkly! I'll post a before and after once I get a break from my newborn long enough to snap some pics.

OH!! And if anyone wants a Jewel Jet contact Wink ASAP he has ONE left!

I used my 10k gift to put toward a 20th anniversary (unconventional) 3 stone ring I love it! I just got it last week while I was in the USA and its perfect. It is exactly what I wanted and after some of the things I've been through, I'm thrilled with that!

I updated a thread I started about it a few months ago and started a thread on SMTB but I wanted to specificially give thanks to this forum... I've been here over 5 years and am very glad that this place exists and continues to thrive! Well, not to sound like a commercial, but I am grateful

I just received word from Good Old Gold that I am now the owner of two pear shaped diamonds. Two extremely generous gifts from Pricescope (I thank you so very much, Andrey!) made the purchase of these pears possible. One was the $100.00 gift for posting 10,000 times and one was the extraordinary 1K gift Andrey gave me several months ago for my alleged good citizenship! (But I made hay while the sun shone and got Jonathan right to work before Andrey could change his mind!!!)

A picture of the pears is attached below. They have GIA certs. One is .51 carat and the other is .53 carat. Both are D color and VVS2 clarity. I am going to use them as sidestones with a red spinel that I own but have not yet set. I plan to set the spinel between them in a three stone ring. I have a (very lengthy) thread about the ring in Colored Stones and will post a link to that thread as well.

Once the ring is finished, I will post a picture of it here as well!

I cannot tell you how indebted I am to Andrey for his incredible generosity!!! Thanks again, Andrey!

Okay, it took me a YEAR to find something very special for which to use my PS gift, and I am very excited to say that I used it toward some gorgeous 1.5 ct. WhiteFlash diamond hoop earrings!!!

It took me a long time to figure out what to get too, as I first had my eye on something at Blue Nile, but then they jacked the price up $180, so I couldn't do that, and then I couldn't figure out what I wanted.

So then I got my gift about a month and a half ago. And then I sent it off to get altered. I just got it back today after work.

I started out with this simple chain from Blue Nile, in the 18 inch length, putting the gift towards that (it's gone up in price since I bought it!)

Where they chopped it in half, and put a collette set diamond that I had gotten from Fortekitty. I'm in love!

The chain is a lot more substantial than I thought it would be from the pictures. It's really sparkly and just perfect!
