Its an amazing cuff and my holy grail. It's one of my lowest cost per piece now. I'm not at home but will post more pics when I am ;-)

Oops meant to say lowest cost per wear piece!!! Need more coffee :)

Okay so I want to post a… Sort of PSA? Especially to folks buying preloved.

Bangles with clasps… Etoile and monogram, I’m not sure which others…

The Etoile has a hidden clasp - meaning that the clasp mechanism is fully embedded inside the bangle. I love that. BUT. This bangle, at least, doesn’t have any place where if you apply a subtle pressure the latch opens slowly. This bangle’s latch is just a plain old “step” style - when you push the two ends together a plate goes downward until it reaches a catch and pops back upward, and to open you need to pull the two ends apart hard enough to force the plate downward internally.

On the other side of the clasp - to make the hinge - the metal of the bangle itself is shaped to not allow the bangle to open far enough to cause damage. The shape of the hinge is actually what prevents opening too far.

The thing is, there’s no choice but to basically tug it open, which means that you’re often forcing the hinge to open as much as possible pretty frequently. Just because of the power of the yank that’s needed to get it open! If that makes sense? And, well, it’s gold, gold isn’t the strongest metal! The hinge on mine is accumulating damage and I’m confident it will have to be repaired or entirely remade eventually, with regular wear.

Well, let me qualify that. It’s easy enough to open it gently when you’re first putting it on. But when it’s on the wrist and you want to get it off, you’ve only got one hand - that’s when not forcing it open all the way is all but impossible! The clasp is really tight, which is good, but…

So one more thing to add to the checklist when buying bangles preloved - what condition is the hinge in?

The Etoile bangle is on my wish list, so good to know!

Would it be easier for someone else to take it off for you? So two handed & less force?

This bangle is on my wish list, but knowing me & my lazy arse bangle bracelet wearing, it'll just stay put & never need removing :lol-2:

Yes! It would!
Sadly my other half has opted out.
But an independent is probably acquirable on shorter timeline than evolving a retractable third arm.

Hi everyone! I stopped by Tiffany today and tried on the olive leaf ear climbers… and they do not work for me at all, surprisingly! The hoops are gorgeous but I wouldn’t get enough use out of them, esp with the amount of mask wear I anticipate in my future (healthcare abs studs are just easier for that).

I'm so wanting those hoops! I am healthcare too so should probably forget them but it's so hard!

I’m not that good- I used the funds I had set aside for the earrings to buy some simple RG huggie hoops and a dainty RG DBTY necklace from Babygold- I love them for simple little pieces and the BF25 code is still working on their site for 25% off. With the current state of the world I’m wearing more simple jewelry abs clothes right now so it feels right to add a few more casual things to my jewelry wardrobe :)

Not to derail the Tiffany thread but: How is the quality of Babygold? Their ads keep popping up on my Instagram and the prices are way too tempting!

I just have a chain so far (thin paperclip type) that I bought to wear with a pendant, and I was impressed for the price and liked the ability to customize the length. When the other items arrive I planned to do a vendor review. I think it's good to have solid options for staple, non-custom type jewelry and I have had hit or miss experiences with Etsy vendors.

+1 on the Etsy experiences. Thank you, I’m looking forward to your vendor review!

Tiffany fans - are the Tiffany screw back earings comfortable to wear? I saw some silver bean earings that would be lovely for DD's 16 birthday. She doesn't have her ears pierced but does wear costume clip ons. (And I'm no help, earrings are something I've never worn).

very uncomfortable.

How did I ever miss this thread?! ;-) :D

I was sitting today in the passenger seat of my car, while being stuck in traffic and took a few spontaneous pictures of my Tiffany ring. Not the best light conditions but it sparkled enough for me ;-) :D

I am not sure this ring has a bad side :) Except for blinding me every now and then with flashes of pure fire! :D ;-)

I know nothing about photography but this ring just wants to impress my old I-phone camera no matter how inept I am in handling it :) I did not do anything expect move my hand right to left and back a couple of times. So loving all the sparkle!

Here are some more pictures of my e-ring, which I have taken previously with the same crappy iPhone (which I am reluctant to upgrade because I forgot all passwords to everything ;)2 :)). No special treatment or effort. Basically, the process is: you take out the ring, move it around and record the fire flashes :D Could not enjoy it more! :D

I don't remember anything at all about clarity, cut or colour :D All, I know, it's a fun ring that makes any sort of light dance around it and throw off amazing rainbow sparkles.

Well, I've had a talk with those cheeky diamonds and told them to shut up! It's all about sapphires now! A little cooperation please?...

Alas, Tiffany's diamonds! Loud mouthed bunch :D :D Huh! They kept screaming: "light, light, light - we need to sparkle! It's our job!" no matter what I did :D

I guess, mr. Blue just chose to repose :)

Merry Tiff-mas!

I loved Dorothea’s cuff so much I picked out a preloved one for myself! I checked off my bling list “one rose gold bracelet” and love it!

my husband surprised me with the Pearl pendant from the Cat Island collection. It’s very pretty and comes on a longer 24 inch chain. It was very sweet- we lost my sweet, elderly kitty this year and I took it very hard and he picked it to commemorate her.

Hope everyone has a safe, healthy, happy and sparkly holiday!!
