1. Would you go to a restaurant?
Yes I would since there will be very few customers inside.
Or no vaccine no cigar?
If we gonna wait for a vaccine then it'll be another yr of staying at home.

2. Would you be upset if others went to a restaurant and feel that they were endangering you?

Coronavirus News: More than 1,700 previously undisclosed deaths at NY nursing homes
New York state is reporting more than 1,700 previously undisclosed deaths at nursing homes and adult care facilities as the state faces scrutiny over how it has protected vulnerable residents during the coronavirus pandemic.abc7ny.com
Does this mean you can't answer with any logical, intellectual, well read and thought out retorts? If so, I agree.
All true, but here in ny Cuomo had other options. We had a huge excess of covin beds on the uss comfort and in the Javits center.

Navy hospital ship sent to NYC for outbreak no longer needed, says Cuomo
A Navy hospital ship deployed to New York City to help fight the coronavirus outbreak is no longer needed, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Tuesday, expressing confidence that stresses on the hospital system are easing.www.navytimes.com
from above:
Cuomo said after meeting with President Donald Trump that the USNS Comfort was helpful, but could now be sent elsewhere after being docked for weeks off of Manhattan.
We also had an underutilized Covid emergency hospital in Central Park (Samaritan’s purse sponsored).

Opposition to Samaritan’s Purse Central Park field hospital grows
The evangelical humanitarian relief group is led by Franklin Graham, a vocal opponent of gay marriage known for condemnations of LGBTQ people and Muslims.www.nbcnews.com
Anti LBGT group (samaritan's) seems very hateful group to me.
On Tuesday, a group of LGBTQ activists stood several yards away from the Samaritan’s Purse field hospital on the East Meadow lawn and blasted city and state officials and Mount Sinai Hospital for partnering with the evangelical humanitarian relief organization treating overflow patients suffering from the coronavirus.
Cuomo decided not to direct the elderly patients to these facilities. Rather, he sent them back to the nursing homes.

Cuomo didn’t know coronavirus patients are being sent back to nursing homes
New York’s health commissioner on Monday defended a directive that requires nursing homes to readmit residents who’ve tested positive for the coronavirus — as Gov. Andrew Cuomo re…nypost.com
Give the guy a break.. do you just read Fox??
Nursing homes are not hospitals. I just do not know what he was thinking.
He was thinking of what was best for the STATE of NY and NYC.. Reading is fundamental.
Hey, just be grateful you didn’t get a lecture about your panties!
Why do I always miss the good stuff?![]()
BSer or PSer??...Do you know my beliefs? Or are you inferring my beliefs? My belief that DF is a BSer and he doesn't practice what he preaches AND he can speak for himself. Do most people in America raise their children to be dependent on mommy and daddy for daycare? Maybe so, but not where I came from..
The argument above seems to be that because a group offering and capable of treating Covid patients espouses traditional christIan values that it is better to send Covid infected elderly people to the nursing homes which are less able to deal with Covid, knowing that the other residents there are the MOST vulnerable and therefore most needing protection? Further that this is the best for NY State and NYC?
Anyone else want to support that heartless and horrid viewpoint?? Come on folks...lets use that like button!!
The nursing homes are Petri dishes and as long as this thread is casting blame—based on the title— trump is not responsible for the fact that many cultures abandon their elderly in nursing homes. People knew about this threat early on because Washington had the first deadly outbreak in a nursing home. The fact that the relatives of these elderly left them in nursing homes, if they had any relatives, is not Trump’s fault. But it’s just a testament to how American society treats the elderly. Karl, the “illegals” that you are referring to will likely die as well due to poor health care access. Can you at least refer to them as undocumented? They are probably being exploited by these nursing homes and do not have adequate protective equipment. It exploded in care homes here about 2 weeks ago. Lots of people sick staff and patients. Many of the non-nursing staff are illigals. A lot of deaths are going to happen a bunch allready did.. It sucks big time

Didn’t mean to offend you. But the reality is that I’m referring to nursing homes in America. And I didn’t suggest that the government runs nursing homes. The government doesn’t take care of the elderly in nursing homes. My hubby’s grandma was in a nursing home and his parents were paying close to 6k a month for that care, at the time. Not all Americans. My father is 90, my mother in law 91, and and my aunt 95. They are at home an being cared for...and not by the government.

In my state long term care facilities are a lower priority for PPE than hospitals. They’ve got more than they need at our hospital yet we are sewing masks for the nursing home workers where if there was an outbreak it would be wildfire. It’s ridiculous. Care centers got testing last here too.
And please don’t paint with a broad brush. My mother died in a care facility as I was there holding her hand. The staff there cared for her better than I ever could have with her condition. For most people it is the most difficult decision they’ll ever make when they realize they can no longer safely/adequately care for a parent or a spouse with advanced dementia who is combative, dangerous, confused. Or a degenerative illness that requires care/nursing 24/7. Injuries/accidents/neglect can happen when family members take on more care responsibility than they can provide. Most are not abandoned and their families are suffering greatly at not being able to be with them.
@Queenie60 Queenie says in bold, I reply/retort in NOt bold
You enjoy twisting posts around to suit you.
Twisting around posts? WTF are you talking about, I answer them, logically and sequentially Suit me? What does this mean? I'm answering you.
Therefore, you win! White flag.
Does this mean you can't answer with any logical, intellectual, well read and thought out retorts? If so, I agree.
........... Glad I could make your day
Did I say this? I don't think I said this.. I have not spoken/written things like 'make your day' since 1980s. ]
When I have time I come here and read and I answer retorts to me. I neither make nor whatever a day.. I do stuff and reading PS is part of my day..
. However, I do stand by my comments that it's not nice to bash people and make nasty comments about the way they live just because it doesn't align with your beliefs.

And yes, I will go out and about when the need be.
Best of luck.
And yes, I will wear a mask, sanitize, exercise social distancing and any other way I can stay safe.
That is just super! we all do this.. Me? I only go out if I HAVE to, but whatever you need to do for yourself, you go girl!
However, traveling, going to restaurants and any other unnecessary place is a NO. Stay in your house, that's your option, and it's my option to safely go out.
I met with my pool builder today.. I go out when I feel it's safe, I'm not telling you what to do or not do, as others have said, it's up to us to make choices and hope we all make the best choices for each other and ourselves.
... I don't see anything wrong with us babysitting our grandkids...
@Queenie60 No profanity please.
@nala Of course it’s fair to look at why so many deaths may have happened in those nursing homes. Cuomo says he doesn’t know what he’d do differently. It’s not about blame for the sake of it, but unless he/we can acknowledge the failures there won’t be change to avoid the horrible outcome that resulted from those policies.
