I have a few additional shots of this necklace, and I can add them here if you'd like to see. VC does not yet have images of this piece--outside of the show shots. I wish I'd had more time with it--was shooting so many pieces and quickly. Each component is die-struck platinum. The back was unfinished at the show--well the pieces were in place, but the stones were not yet set. Diamonds are all E+ color and VS1+ clarity and emeralds are Colombian. The necklace is a commissioned piece--for a gemologist client.

So... would you keep this beauty intact, or have it cut to reveal the bling within???






I think it's stunning as a specimen - and probably far more valuable that way to boot! However, I'm sure I'd be fighting with the bling - er - lover on my other shoulder, and an overwhelming desire to see what that faceted stone would look like, every time I looked at that lovely little crystal! It's a good thing there isn't a diamond faceter on every corner!
