Final AVR comparison...2.12 and 2.29 I VS1

Ahhh, well you chose a beautiful stone! I am sure she will love it! I wondered what you would decide. I agree that the extra price premium is difficult to justify. I am still working on that part myself, actually. But my last diamond was a round brilliant with strong blue fluorescence, and I do really love fluoro in diamonds!

Congratulations and I hope you come back and post a thread on Show Me the Bling once you get the ring and propose!!!

Great to see you, Gypsy!!! I did something kinda crazy and decided to try the 2.29 first, but I am pretty sure I'll end up with the 2.12. I can't justify the price difference even though the 2.29 was appealing to me because of Yoram being the cutter. Jon knows I am undecided and just trying out the 2.29 first. I honestly think it will be too big for me anyway. And yes, a french cut band would be fabulous!

Yes, it was kind of crazy but Jonathan is apparently the most patient human on earth and let me do a trial run (after I had already seen both stones!). I think I'll like the 2.29 in my PS world, but in the real world it may be a little over the top. We'll see! I can't wait to see your new ring, too!!!

Okay, sneak peek for those who have stuck with me this long! I am only posting a couple of pics because if I decide to keep this stone, I'll eventually do a Show me the Bling thread. First impressions are that Vatche did an amazing job with the new head! The ring is beautiful, looks brand new, and it is just fine as a temporary or permanent home for this diamond! The diamond looks huge and gorgeous! My only qualms are whether it is too big and I am not fond of the price. Otherwise, it is perfect!

I definitely do not think it looks too big... in fact, I think it looks perfect!!! Of course I am a bit biased since I have leaned towards the 2.29 from day one. I have to say, I will be pretty sad if the 2.29 goes back. *sniff, sniff*
