Thank you D&T. The wall hanging above my fireplace was also made by my mother, and I have several other full-size quilts she''s made me for special occasions. I am fortunate to have such lovely keepsakes.

It is so great to see everyone''s tree!

I decided to add poinsettias to our tree this year. I think I like it!

I love this thread! Everyone has lovely trees and adorable furbabies!!!

Our tree this year . . .
Lauren, I LOVE your tree. You have wonderful taste!

Do you mind me asking what color paint is on the walls in your living room? We are going to paint our living room and halllways after the holidays and I think your color would look great.

Giada, I just stopped back by this thread, and WOW! Your house is just stunning!!! Love your Christmas decor and your puppy is beautiful!

Thank you for your kind comments about my house. The colour of our living room is Crisp Khaki by Benjamin Moore - http://www.myperfectcolor.com/Benjamin-Moore-234-Crisp-Khaki-p/mpc0006164.htm

We just got tree up today. There is a major snowstorm on the northeast, but we got out early and picked up tree. Spent day decorating. Usually tree is in family room, but this year, we placed it in dining room so lights can shine out window. The tree this year is very wide. I''ve enjoyed seeing everyone''s photos.. thanks

we pick up stuff in after christmas sales and use the next year. These long glittering stands are great for hanging on the chandeliers.

Cute kitty, Lauren.

Surprisingly, my cats have entirely ignored the tree this year AND the tinsel (which I hadn''t wrapped around the banasters for years thinking they''d chew it up) so . . .well, I''m not sure WHAT my cats are good for, except cuddling

gardenglove, i love your tree (hmmmm...like your style in general!). Our tree is also very wide and fat..I love it. Do you have any garland on yours?

Thanks so much Janinegirly,

I never had such a wide tree, this is the best one we''ve ever had. She looks like a rolly polly happy top. No garlands this year, just pink, blue and purple balls and the angels flying around .. Here''s the tree at night ... really shining away...

My turn! We just put up our tree tonight. Here is our 9-foot tall beauty! :)

I LOVE seeing your trees! Gorgeous homes everyone!

Here is ours, in our bland apartment. It is almost 7 feet tall and Real. I always grew up with a real tree, and DH wishes they had a real one growing up, so we have a yearly tradition of dinner at Friday's and then picking out the tree.

You can also see our novelty Cowboys and Texans stockings that are courtesy of DH.

If there''s one time I miss a mantle it''s at Christmas.

Bebe, all your photos are just gorgeous! Are you available for hire?

I''ve only just seen this thread, so I''m late to the party. I''ll post some more tomorrow, once I''ve straightened the tree (looks like the Leaning Tower of Pisa right now!).

Meanwhile, here''s my samovar be-decked for the holiday.
