the black and white spotted hobo around page 2?!?! I that bag but I'm not a black and white gal ugh... but if I saw someone carrying that I'd swoon!!!

Trying to decide right now between a few of them...there's a messenger that I love the pattern/color but another one where I love the style of the flap. decisions!

Plus there's a hobo I like too!

Trying to decide right now between a few of them...there's a messenger that I love the pattern/color but another one where I love the style of the flap. decisions!

LOL, that's the problem -- they are all different! Even if you get two bags out of the same hide they still aren't exactly the same!

I just saw the six hobos she send you and there are a couple I really like. My problem is I would want a black one AND a brown one (ergo how I ended up with so many... )

For the messengers, which flap do you like?

...the rest of the evening is going to be dedicated to getting DH on board. I've never seen him have any opinion about accessories, jewelry, etc (other than to say that I spend a lot of $ on them haha), but he looked at me very serious and said, "it just feels so sad". I don't think he realized that cowhide bags existed, and he's having a soft spot for the animals. Although this is adorable of him (And I love when he actually shows feelings), it's putting a crimp in my plans to buy ALL THE BAGS! Dammit, DH!

But hopefully I can wear him down tonight/tomorrow. I reminded him he doesn't care about leather, and he said, "yeah, but this just feels.....too close". He's so sweet. But so frustrating when it's something I want.

Red, I saw your post that you were getting the black and white hobo but in an email it sounds like you think the hobo might be bigger than what you want...? If so, a messenger might be a good option in terms of being a little smaller but also having a long strap. I'll find one of the photos with them all side by side and post it, which might help in comparing size.

Ohhhhhh... poor DH. If it's any consolation I think it's actually good to use the hides to make something beautiful rather than "waste" them. As cheesy as it sounds, it seems to me like honoring an animal by making something lovely that is appreciated rather than just taking part of it and and throwing the rest away. But of course it's not about what I think -- you and DH have to be happy!

omg you read my mind, as that was my EXACT argument!!! I'll have to discuss it more with him tomorrow. Obviously I don't need his "permission" to buy anything, but we discuss everything and if it's going to make him sad or make him feel guilty when he looks at it then I won't buy it. But I'm going to try and see if he'll come around.

You are so awesome Dee. I think I am going to go with the black and white hobo. Sheryl is being very patient with me. It is late in Chicago! I like the messenger but not a flap and I love the hardware on the hobo. If I decide later I need a smaller one she said she would do it. I love the black and white hide so I am pretty sure I will get that one because there are no other bags in that hide.

I ended up getting this sling because I was so afraid of the hobo being too big. Its too much $ if I end up not using it. I love the sling I picked out and she changed the chain to a silver one. Excited! Thank you Dee! If I love this one I may have her make a hobo in the size of the messenger.

Oh I must have missed that you actually bought all those! Sorry! Did you get the hobo I passed on then or a different black and white one? I loved that one but it really looked like it was going to be too big.
