The original 24 hour thread and Erica's CADs thread are two of my favorites. Erica's thread still makes me laugh.

I somehow missed that ame had already posted this and was about to post it myself! I freaking love reading that thread. As an engineer I can admire what he did and as a female I can't help but think that it is the sweetest thing ever.

How on earth did I miss those threads??? What an incredible story! I love Undercover's devotion to his goal and his tenacity... and also the support and gentle suggestions offered by PS'ers. Thanks for bringing them to our attention, Clairitek!

ETA I also chuckled at T-Gal's late thread realization that Undercover hadn't yet been "dusted!" I'm sure that helped ensure his success! :wink2:

Hehe, yeah that was a great thread. And it all worked out after the dusting - the evidence is there! :rodent:
I LOVED that he had vendors helping too, Jim Summa rocks as it is, but throwing his help in made him rock even more.

I have a whole lot of favorites from the 2008 presidential primaries and presidential debates. I laughed myself silly for months with the wonderful women of Pricescope, both Democrats and Republicans, who watched the political show. We took our views seriously but were, by and large, able to be civil with each other. (For newcomers I want to make it clear that it was not against the Pricescope rules at that time for us to discuss politics.)

I always loved the 24-hour thread because we all knew it was going to be forever deleted and had the freedom to say anything we wanted. It was fun, funny, sad, cathartic, then insanely funny again. Loved it!

I wish I could remember some of those threads where so many of us stayed up and just couldn't stop posting.

I liked the one where the gal bought a "shopping spree" for Tiffany's on eBay, and bought an old, used small Tiffany engagement ring off eBay, then used their upgrade system and those gift cards to buy herself the ring she really wanted at a huge discount. Super interesting to read through her ordeal.

That might be my 2nd favorite. Holy crap that's fantastic. I am like...blown away by the resourcefulness. I wish I was that dedicated.

HAH! Welcome to pricescope, ieatbugs :wavey:

that might be the cutest comment i've seen from you, so far. and i've been loving all your posts btw!

That's Leon. PS has a huge love or hate relationship with him. His work his amazing, but he appears to have a "quirky sense of humor". That's what's been explained to me when I questioned his ethics. I think quite a bit of vendors have amazing work ;)) so I can live with not understanding one vendor's. But I do admire his baubles, that's for sure!! Anyway, if you read those two threads, you can see how much of an either BLACK or WHITE view of him exists. There really seems to be not much of a gray there!

and I must admit, I always enjoy reading people's talk about him, too.. so those threads were definitely entertaining!

My favorite thread is the one where everyone does the big reveal and shows who they are IRL.

I was and still am shocked by how many hotties post on PS. This would be THE place to get set up with a cute chick online, except that they are typically here after they get ringed...

I really love the talky-philosophical ones, where everybody digs into What Jewelry Means to Them. I know we've had a bunch, but the only one I can remember off the top of my head is the one where somebody asked if other people could wear fakes or not, and everybody navel-gazed over the baggage and signification and status symbolism of their various jewels. Good times!
