Will two jackets fit on a stud? Lol

So say I have studs and cushion shape jackets. Then I want to add a sapphire and diamond drop jacket to achieve this look while giving me the most versatility



Well, think of it as stud and jacket on top and this dangle as a jacket on bottom.

Would it work? Depends on earlobe?

I’ve done something similar to this before. I’ve worn stud/bezel earrings with dangling earrings in the same hole. You just have to make sure the dangling earring is long enough it “clears” the stud otherwise the stud pushes it in at an odd angle and instead of falling straight down, it sits weird or just points out. Also the stud post should be long enough as well that you have space for all of it.

Ok, good points, thank you. I would need to get the bottoms made anyway, so I will be sure to tell whoever makes them what I plan to do so we can see if it’s possible.

Otherwise, I just might have to do a small diamond at the ear like pictured, but that might be where the look is and not all blinked out with larger diamond with halo.

Hum. I’ll have to think on this a bit. I ordered replica unmentionables of the earrings and pendant to see how I like the look.

I'm planning to do this. I don't have any of the jackets yet but I've got stones to make dangles from. My plan is to have studs in a standard size, diamond jackets, then dangles, so that I can mix-and-match to dress them up or down without needing to have different earrings entirely.

You would have to have a long enough post. I use plastic disks to keep my studs straight and then put the guardian back on. It takes up a lot of room. I think it would take up more room with a dangle attached.

@susimoo, these look beautiful, I have been looking high and low for something like this online.

Thank you so much. I’ve never seen anything quite like them online. Any competent bench would be able to convert studs or drop earrings for you as the pearls will already have been drilled. They may even have a loop already there to add the chain too. My jeweller did my conversion very quickly and at minimal cost.
