Here is the story: I’ve always wanted BG cushion jackets and you might remember they recently set my aqua (see avatar). I didn’t get around to commissioning the jackets because DH and I went out of town and then I had my surgery and I’ve been in physical therapy 3 times a week, etc.
I finally did the official order this week and they asked me to send my studs (blue Nile, ideal, 1.4 ctw F Si1 near super ideal specs in the martini 3 prong setting) and...... they don’t work. The setting is crazy bad and the jackets don’t work with them.
So Lesley and I have been talking about what to do, and I suggest they go ahead and reset my studs into a more complimentary setting. That was yesterday.
Today, we haven’t had a lot of discussion because I spent 3 hours at the surgical hospital to rule out a post surgical blood clot, Yay don’t have one.
Lesley spoke with Brian and it’s not working, so they are switching over to custom and showed me some more pointy flowery jackets they made for someone recently where they were able to sort of build up the jacket so that the diamond sat better in it.
So as they called me back for my Ultrasound, I emailed Lesley and I told her that I give them permission to do whatever they want in terms of stud setting and jackets for me. Lesley thanked me and said she wouldn’t disappoint. (Amazing customer service)
I assume they are closed tomorrow and Sunday and Monday is Labor Day holiday so... I guess I won’t hear more about this until next week.
Meanwhile, I had bought some sapphire jackets from eBay and they clearly aren’t going to work given how much trouble Lesley is having with the jackets.
So I thought I was going to have:
1.diamond studs
2.sapphire studs (on the way from AJs, they are nearly the same size as the diamond studs, so I was hoping to use the same jackets)
3. Pearl studs
And then:
1. Diamond cushion jackets
2. Sapphire jackets
After that, I was going to work on the drops. I’m probably also sending the sapphires to BG to set them however the diamond studs end up getting set, so that I can interchange both studs with the jackets.
Since Wink set my sapphire and CBI ring, I am planning to send him whatever sapphire dangles I end up with.
