Mara,

I am certainly glad I don''t work where you do!!! ha ha ha ha.

I remember when I worked at Mercedes-Benz, they were always bringing in the goooood German Chocolate candy, it was soooooooooooooooooo hard to resist.

HAH Linda when I started here I gained 5 lbs in like 2 months!! I was at my smallest when I started here. That is partially why I started going to my trainer. We always have so much food around here, my group is 6 women and 5 of us have CRAZY sweet tooths. So one of us will be craving donuts and we''ll bring in a BOX. Or one of us will make a pie and bring it in. Or we''ll be craving burgers then have to go get them at lunch. We all are such bad influences on each other!!! The funny thing is that my coworker told me the other day she thinks I am thinner looking now than when I started but I weigh more, so at least that''s a good thing I guess. HAHA.

I made 2 pies successfully, yay!!! I bought a back up pie at costco. Now we have 3 pies in the house, eeeeeeek. I think I will be needing to extra workouts!!! Crossing my fingers I don't gain weight these next few days and if I do that I jump back on the healthy lifestyle.

Thanks all you sweet and wonderful people of the WWT and cheers to good health and happiness!

Kimi, save me a piece of that carrot cake!

Mara, you are doing awesome w/the weight interval workouts!

Linda, working for mb must have been dangerous! I could just see me working there . . . um honey, we have a new car because I couldn't resists this awesome deal on a cherry red SL. heheehee

evening all!!! turkey is brined and in the oven, apple, sage, sausage stuffing is made and 3/4 cooked...just have to finish it off for 20 min before our dinner guests arrive tonite. gotta make mashed potatoes and glaze the carrots and that''s it! the pumpkin cheesecake is calling my name, so i had a 1/2 slice of pumpkin nut bread instead hehee. i really feel like i should work out but timeline just doesn''t allow for it and again, i feel like even though mentally i am thinking ''must work out to counteract bad food eating''...i know my body also needs a rest as i have been pushing it quite hard. don''t want it to fail me in tomorrow''s trot!

skip pies sound yummy! i want to make a low sugar crustless pumpkin pie for greg and i to enjoy...maybe tomorrow. i got a nice looking recipe online and i made a low sugar one last year that came out yummy, this year i would just do something similar sans crust.

hope everyone else is having a great day/evening...happy early thanksgiving!

Evening and Happy early Thanksgiving WWTr''s!!

Sounds like everyone is just humming right along baking, basting, assembling, etc. Everything you all are making sounds fabulous. Then you have me, the gal who has never made a turkey, let alone a pie....I missed out on the cooking gene, I think. Plus the thought of stuffing a bird gives me the creeps, lol! DH and I are making a green bean casserole tomorrow to contribute to our family Thanksgiving GTG at my SIL''s, and we''ll bring the wine as usual. Last year I made a sweet potato casserole, southern style with pecans and marshmallows and no one really ate it, the things I grew up loving at Thanksgiving are pretty different from what DH''s relatives love. Hey, I tried, right?

I had another long and busy day at work today...I can''t seem to get rid of my post nasal drip plus the terrible tickle it causes in the back of my throat at the most inopportune times which sends me into a fit of coughing and is quite embarassing. I had to hand the phone to a co-worker three times this morning due to this, and walk away from two different customers for the same reason, I didn''t want to cough all over them! It was awful. I feel fine otherwise, but my boss tried to send me home around 12:30 because I sounded so bad. I doubled up on my cough syrup and stuck it out the rest of the day with just a couple more incidents, I had too much to do and I would''ve felt like a slacker leaving work early since I felt fine except for the cough!

DH made me take a nap on the couch this evening when I got home and went out to get me more OTC meds, he seemed a bit concerned since I''ve had maybe 4 colds in the 6 + years we''ve been together, it''s usually him who is sick and me taking care of him this time of year. I have to admit it was kind of nice to be "babied" a little! Maybe I''ll get sick more often, hee hee.
31.gif
So no workout for me tonight, my body clearly needs some extra rest and tomorrow we plan to sleep late and enjoy a chilly winter morning (first snowfall predicted for tonight into tomorrow morning!) in the snuggly warm comfortable bliss of our bed. Yay!

Mara, good luck with the Turkey Trot tomorrow, you continue to impress me with your workout ambition!

Skippy, your pies sound divine, good thinking on the backup Costco pie--you can never have too much pie, right?!

Linda, happy Thanksgiving! I need to go check out your custom pendant thread, I keep seeing the "headline" but haven''t read it in entirety yet, forgive me?

Rod, Kimi, Lorelei, DeeJay, CrownJewel, Shortblonde, canukgal, Marcy, Tandogmom, ummmeveryoneelseI''mforgetting...Happy Thanksgiving and keep up the great work (whoops, Lorelei, happy English November holiday, hee hee)...enjoy tomorrow!

Hehehe Monnie, I am doing roast beefs for Hubby for his TG dinner, he says a turkey spoils his Christmas dinner! So we will be having a TG of sorts here!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all my friends!!

Have a wonderful time

Rod, wow, love the painting! I can''t believe it was a group effort -- it looks so fluid!

Crownjewel, I''m sorry to hear that your coworker is still unreceptive to some necessary advice. Hopefully she can ease into a new lifestyle that will help her lose weight and take care of her kidneys. A cheeseburger for lunch and icky Chinese for dinner? It just makes me feel sick to think about eating all of that in one day.

I had a great jog on Sunday . . . upped my distance from 3 to 4 miles, which I did in just under 40 minutes. So yesterday I set out to do another 4 mile jog, but my body just wouldn''t cooperate. I got a side-stitch and my knees hurt, and so I wound up doing 3 miles with at least half a mile of walking. I had to tell myself that it''s ok not to do everything perfectly or as intensely as I wanted to.

My weight has been bouncing from 113.5 to 117 in recent weeks. That seems like a big range not to feel any difference in how my clothes fit. It''s strange; I think my weight was more stable before I got in shape (I mean, I always seemed to weigh the exact same amount no matter the time of day or what I had eaten).

In diamond news, I am sans my e-ring. I looked down at it Sunday night, and one of the prongs on my X Prong was sticking straight up. Without thinking I pushed it back down, then thought Is that secure?, so I pulled it back up. Then I realized I shouldn''t be moving my prong at all.

So, it could certainly be related to the recent resizing which was done by the same local jeweler who set it (not Vatche so no warranty). Realizing that the little B&M I had been using might not be the best, we took it to Finks. As it was Sunday night they just took the ring and said they''d call me if they needed to do more than just fix the prong. So Monday I got a message saying that the "setting" couldn''t be repaired and had to be replaced, which to me meant the whole ring. I tried my best not to panic and formulated a plan of action: 1) find insurance policy documents and get them ready 2) go see the jeweler who had done the resizing for his opinion/suggestions 3) research current cost of X prong. Meanwhile, while I was essentially doing nothing, DH called Finks for clarification, found out that they meant the head had to be replaced, not the whole ring, and called the jeweler whom he bought it from (out of state), who said they could fix it or send it to Vatche, and that it shouldn''t be too much trouble or cost. So DH saved the day! So it''s, gulp, traveling through the mail right now. DH even dealt with the apparently less than genius post office employees who kept making him change the packaging and then told him just to certify it when he said he wanted to register it, and then said, oh, it''s appraised for $12k?, you need to register it! So it''s registered and insured and doesn''t say "Jeweler" on it or anything, so eek, fingers crossed!

HI:

Happy Thanksgiving to ya'll! From your "Northern" friend.........

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day. We will be heading to my nephew’s house in about an hour.
Yesterday we hit the road to go shopping in Denver but since the first 50 miles we were driving on solid ice we stopped in Fort Collins and went to their local mall. I found a nice baby blue cotton sweater on sale for $25 and that was my only purchase. Our friends wanted to eat at the Olive Garden so DH and I split a tour of Italy but I had some bread sticks and some dessert. That was my only meal yesterday but it certainly didn’t help me out on the scale.
I can’t believe I weigh 4 more pounds this morning than I did a week ago.
29.gif
Now, I know I didn’t eat 14,000 more calories than I normally do and I haven’t consumed my normal amounts of water with being on the road so much but AAAKKK and RATS. I am going to be really careful today with my only splurge being a small piece of cc cheesecake.
Rod, that is wonderful to get such a nice compliment from a younger gym member. That certainly was a highlight of your day.
Monnie, that is great you had a nice workout yesterday. I don’t usually crave salty food, I crave sweets. We are taking the wine and cheesecake for Thanksgiving dinner so that’s easy cooking for me too. I smiled when I read your thoughts about stuffing a turkey, I did it once it and was totally grossed out. I am very funny about getting gunk on my hands and didn’t enjoy that activity one bit. Sorry to hear about your coughing fits; I hope you feel better soon.
CrownJewel, I’m sure you’ll have a fun time at the turkey eat. Too funny.
Steph, I hope your trip to Atlanta is fun and you have a great Thanksgiving.
Kimi, thanks for the kinds words about my weight gain. It seems every meal we had out this week included pasta so I’m cutting that off for quite awhile. At least my size 12 jeans still fit. LOL! Have fun at your parent’s house. I don’t think I’ll drag everyone out for a walk today; the high’s will be in the 20’s around here.
Skippy, I am sure your pies will be great. I know I’ll loose my 2+2 pounds but I am not very happy with myself about that.
TanDogMom, I hope you get a nice run in today; make your own Turkey Trot. Congratulations on getting in to smaller size clothes; have fun shopping.
Linda, I love to bake but haven’t done much of it the past year. I’ve probably forgot how by now.
Mara, it sounds like a food fest at work yesterday. ‘Tis the season, huh? I hope your turkey trot goes well today.
Lorelei, your roast beef dinner sounds great; I wish that was on the menu for me today. I can’t eat turkey but they are having ham and turkey today at my nephews so I can eat some ham. Ham give my some hives and makes me itch but doesn’t make me ill like if I eat turkey.
PhoenixGirl, it sounds like you are doing great and getting in some good workouts. I feel your pain on missing your ring. I can’t believe the prong was sticking up though. Holy cow! That is great the jeweler you bought it from can get it fixed but I’d be nervous sending it through the mail too. I’m sure the post doesn’t see too many packages insured for that kind of money. Good luck with getting your ring back soon.
Sharon, I hope you have a great day too.
Well, take care everyone. I’d best round up my “stuff” for our trip.

Marcy, I am sorry. I see your frustration so I wanted to chime in; it may be water weight. Enjoy your day today and we all need to jump back on the wagon tomorrow, sometimes it is too hard to control what is going on and I rather not be stressed. You will lose it soon just forgive yourselves and get back on track. My pies came out yummy! I am no longer scared to make a pumpkin pie from scratch. Yay!

Hubby and I are going for a walk today; it is 40 degrees and it might snow. Dinner is at 4 so I made a beef stew for lunch. Have a wonderful day today!

Happy Thanksgiving and I am super Thankful for such a great thread full of support and love!!!!

Huge group hug for all you WWT contributors to this thread!

Hi All and Happy Thanksgiving!

I''m working on school at my parents. Took advantage of the hotel gym this morning and worked out for an hour, including weights and elliptical.

Mom is cooking.

Skip, there''s always a piece of carrot cake for you!

Marcy, so sorry about the weight gain, deep breathes and it will be alright, sometimes our body does wacky things we don''t understand.

Have a great day all!

Kimi, you are so sweet
face23.gif
thanks! Glad you got to your family''s home safely.

I got back from a 2 mile walk; hubby and I did it together and our cheeks got all pink. I checked the temp and it is only 38 degrees. . . burrrr. Stay warm everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving all!!

I caught my hubbys flu
14.gif
, so I am home in bed, while he is at my mom''s house.

My brother and his girlfriend will have to do the cooking today. Wonder what the dinner will turn out like
6.gif

I will check back, later, going to go back to bed.

Love to all,
Linda

Get better Linda, I am praying for a speedy recovery for sweet you and your hubby.

Mara, how was the turkey trot Superwoman?!?!?!

Happy Thanksgiving WWT'ers!!!

hehe skippy, we just got back from our walk/run. i just did the 5k as i thought it might be better if i wasn't totally drained and exhausted for our party at 4pm since i am hostess. so i did a walk/run combo in 37 minutes for 3.1 miles...not bad! then i walked back part of the way and met up with greg and ran in with him some of the way. it was quite fun. my dad did the 10k too with a time of 44 minutes. he's quite quick.

then we watched some elite women runners do a competitive 5k in less than 13 minutes which was amazing! they ran around this park we were standing in and they were all muscle, no fat, all pretty small. just amazing. there were SO many people out for the trot this morning, apparently it was the biggest turnout ever and they ran out of shirts and everything. crazy!

i wore my heart rate monitor from the minute we left our house to walk over til the minute we got home and it was pretty interesting. we were gone from 8:30am to 11:15am and i burned a total of 850 calories. it's interesting to see how much your body burns after you exert yourself because the walk/run was burned ~400 cals, so i burned a fair amount of cals in the hour walking around afterwards as well. i thought it was pretty cool that basically by 11:15am i had burned about 900 cals for the day...heheee. so that's what, like 2 pieces of pie, some stuffing, some mashed taters, cranberry sauce and turkey? that's what i am telling myself anyway, hehee!

we walked back home, enjoyed some coffee and i made egg scrambles (whites for me) with cheese and toasted ff english muffins with light butter and lavender honey for us and my dad. nice way to end the morning.

our brined & roasted turkey last nite came out amazing! greg said it was the best one so far. everything on the table for our mini dinner with our neighbors was great. we had pumpkin cheesecake and pecan pie for dessert with homemade lattes. i didn't eat very much which was good, i'm trying to pace myself as we'll be eating today and then tomorrow we are going to an aunt and uncle's for another lunch/dinner as well!

later after dinner we'll go to a movie with my parents and probably a walk as well with portia. now we're about to head off to the grocery store to get some butter and whipped cream which somehow i forgot in my shopping, as well as hit up the wine store for a few bottles of vino for today. hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful holiday!! linda hope you feel better!

Happy Thaniksgiving Everyone!!

Yummm Kimberly, I'd love a piece of that carrot cake, OK??

Linda, I'm so sorry you came down with hubby's flu. It's particularly not fun during the holidays. Feel better soon!

Marcy, I'm sure your recent weight gain is nothing to be concerned about. You've done a remarkable job and those nasty 4 pounds are probably just water weight and will drop off quickly!

Kudo's on doing the 5K Mara!!

Yay on two successful pies Skippy!! Oh no, snow on Thanksgiving?? Brrrrrrrrrrr...........too cold for this Florida boy, that's for sure!!

To anyone else I may have missed (Lorelei, Monnie, Gail, Steph, Mrssalvo, Phoenix, Sharon, CJ, Kayak JAS JAS JAS, ShortBlonde, tdiddy and of course DeeJay!!!) I hope you're having a wonderful holiday!

I never got a chance to check in yesterday. I did let the 'terns go at 3 and I left around 3:30 and headed directly to the gym. I had a really good workout and then met Charlie for dinner at the neat restaurant across the street from our gym. We stopped off at Sbucks on the way home and enjoyed coffee under the oak tree as it was just a beautiful evening last night. Then we came home and made a pumpkin (acutally I call it Cinnamon Pumkin pie because Charlie just dumps like 12 times the amount of cinnamon in the recipe!!) pie.

This morning we got up and had our scone, coffee and fresh fruit on the terrace, then got the sage stuffing ready for the fresh turkey and got it in the oven. We got the side dishes pretty much ready, then we headed out for our own Turkey Trot. Since we ran a bit over 3 miles, I guess we had our own 5K! This year's run was so much nicer than last year's. Which is funny because half way through the run it started to rain. While the weather was nicer last year on Thanksgiving, our run was bittersweet. We were so depressed because standing on the pier, we could see our condo building and the whole downtown Tampa skyline and we knew it was the last year we'd be able to do that, so this year, rain and all, it was just so incredible to stand on that pier and see our condo and the city view and realize that tomorrow morning we were not getting up to pack our clothes or anything to ship anywhere. We have much to be thankful this year for sure!!

Our dinner was just terrific. We had a traditional dinner of fresh turkey, sage stuffing, mashed potatoes (with real butter mind you), fresh green beans and sauteed mushrooms, giblet gravy and sourdough bread and butter. It's so nice when everything turns out just perfect and is all ready at the right time! So, we sat on our terrace and watched the boats in the bay and runners, skaters, walkers and bikers on the sidewalk, enjoyed a great meal, accompanied by a wonderful Merlot and gave thanks for so much good in our lives!

Tomorrow, we'll likely just go to the gym and do a little shopping and since it's Friday, have Sushi for dinner like always. We'll have leftovers on Saturday, then turn the turkey into a big 'ol pot of homemade turkey soup!

Again, to all my friends here on the WWT, thank you for being such a big part of my life and for always being there to encourage me!!

Hi everyone. We had a nice day at my nephew’s house. Their littlest boy is a charmer so he’s always fun to play with. I went off and left my cheesecake setting on the kitchen counter so I threw it away when we got home. My husband thought I put it in the trunk and vice versa. Oh well, that saved me some calories.
After dinner today we went around the room (there was about 18 of us) and said what we were thankful for. My DH said he was thankful I’ve lost 135 pounds and am so healthy now. He’s not a touchy – feely guy but saying that in front of my family really touched me.
Skippy, thank you for your thoughtful response to my regained pounds. I am mostly frustrated at myself but I know at least ½ of it has to be water weight. There is no way I put on 4 pounds in the last few days. I couldn’t and didn’t eat that much. It’s not like I’m spiraling out of control and won’t go right back to what I normally do tomorrow but I’m sure not going to have this many treats during Christmas when I have the entire week off from work. I am glad your pie turned out yummy. Your walk sounds lovely even though it was chilly; it’s about 10 here now.
Kimi, yay for working out this morning. Thank you for the help and support; I know it will be fine but I was pretty upset this morning.
Linda, I hope you feel better soon. What a rotten way to spend a holiday.
Mara, yay for doing the 5K and going to the finish line with Greg. That is wonderful the trot had such a terrific turnout this year. Your dinner sounds great; I am sure everyone enjoyed it.
Rod, thank you for the words of encouragement about my 4 pounds. I was even worried this morning my new jeans wouldn’t fit me but they fit me the same as they did a few days ago. I’m back to my routine tomorrow. Your cinnamon pumpkin pie sounds good. I love gingerbread and always add more cinnamon to it. I’m glad you really enjoyed being able to run in Tampa and have so much to be thankful for. Yay to be home where you belong.
Well, I am going to get ready for bed. I’m have to work tomorrow and my 2 day people are off so I have a trainee to help during the day and my 2 guys on swings so it’ll be a very busy day at work.
I am very thankful for getting to know all of you on PS’s WWT. You’ve been a big help to me. All of you have inspired me, encouraged me and shared in my joy and frustrations. Sweet dreams my PS friends.

It is snowing, it's snowing, it's snowing!!!!! Yay, it is fun to see; it doesn't happen too often here! hehee
I ate way too much but I don't do it often so like I said I will get back to my healthy eating journey.

Mara, kudos on the race and to your dad too!!!

Rod, yay for a wonderful meal, your run and being at home sweet home. Glad you had a great meal!

Marcy, your dh is sweet but I am sure he loves you are healthy!!! Glad you had a wonderful time at your nephew's house!!!

ETA: Anyone getting up early to shop???? My sister and I do it year after year and we always laugh and say it isn't worth it. This will be the first time in several years that we won't be shopping at 5 am. I get to sleep in, whoo hooo!

yay for snow skippy. we rarely get it here but i''d sure love a little bit sometime this winter. i think most everyone eats too much on thanksgiving..i just love thanksgiving food. i decided today i think we should do one in 6 months so i don''t have to wait a year for some of my favorite thanksgiving treats...like sweet potato casserole
18.gif

mara, congrats on the race and your dad too. sounds like fun and you can eat a little extra without the guilt for getting in such a great workout on Tday..

rod, we had thanksgiving here at our house this year and there is just nothing like being HOME!!

marcy- glad you had a great day as well..

Skippy, what a special treat for a holiday, some lovely snow. It always looks so pretty (until I have to go out in it anyway.)

MrsSalvo, I''m glad you had a wonderful day as well and getting to spend it at home. I hope you do get some lovely snow sometime this year.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Marcyc, I mentioned that my weight has been fluctuating over 3 pounds recently . . . I don''t think it''s anything to worry about. There''s water weight, time of day, and all sorts of other factors. And you''ve probably been building muscle up as well. I''m just telling myself that as long as I don''t go over the high of my usual fluctuation, then I''m ok (but there''s that secret part of me that is like, "Hey! I''m doing anything different!" when it goes up). Weight isn''t a precise science but a general indicator of your health. And since your clothes fit the same, then I don''t think you''ve really "gained" weight. I''m glad your DH was so sweet in what he was thankful for!

morning all!!! yay for snow skippy, how fun. we never see snow here! and it's sunny out today and yesterday, it was like 68 yesterday! crazy fall weather. mrs salvo, i always say the same thing re: having another thanksgiving in the middle of the year, but it's so funny, when it comes around it's usually in middle of summer and turkey and mashed potatoes etc sound so unappealing then. so we never do it! i guess it's just meant to be once a year for us. hehee. rod, your day and run sounded great, no place like home for sure. monnie and linda hope you two are feeling better. i felt yesterday like a cold was trying to get me, kind of still trying today but hopefully i can fight it off.

hope everyone had a wonderful thanskgiving day and evening! we had a tasty dinner with my family around 4pm. i have actually been very good about not gorging myself on the food and desserts. i think it's easier because i know that we have a TON of leftovers that we'll be eating all weekend long, including desserts, so there's no 'oh this is the only option to get it' kind of feeling. yesterday for thxgiving dinner i ate off a salad plate, whatever fit on there is what i ate, and then i just had a bit more of mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce after that was finished. a small slice of punkie pie and a chocolate custard cake that was just okay.

this morning, we are eating the pastries i bought the other day from the bakery for breakfast, sour cream coffee cake, banana walnut bread, chocolate croissant, and i made myself egg whites as well for protein. this afternoon we'll head over to my uncle's house for a 2nd thanksgiving (3rd for us!) with my cousins who are both pregnant (first great grandchildren for my grandma, i am so lagging behind!)...i don't get to see one of my cousins very often as she lives in LA so it'll be nice to visit a bit. the drive is an hour though so it'll eat up all of our afternoon. tonite maybe we'll go to a movie or for a long walk. Greg is feeling his 10k from yesterday though so he's not very chipper about exertion today, hehee.

did anyone get any great deals at shopping today? i don't do the black friday mall thing, i hate going out in that crowd. and so many online stores are great now about having the same specials online (and even more) so i just am sitting here while we eat our breakkie surfing around my fave stores seeing what's going on! it's so hard to remember that i have to buy presents for others and not just myself hehee.

re: the weight gain fluctutations some are experiencing. i think they are normal as well however when i met my goal weight...i did eventually see the scale creeping up again and was doing really not too much different. i was stressed out big time because i would see wide swings back and forth whereas before that wasn't really happening. now that i am doing more weights and intervals rather than just steady state flat training i see a little bit less of the fluctuations. but really i think that's just a function of using the scale to measure health. you can't. get your body fat tested, use a tape measure, and use your clothes fit as the best 3 ways. the scale is a nice to have for a quick pinch to be sure you didn't gain like 20 lbs. but from where i am at now on the scale vs when i was at my 'lightest'...i have gained about 8 scale pounds. yet my clothes from my lightest fit me...not PERFECTLY but very good. definitely not 10 lbs heavier body wise. and people tell me they think i look as lean now as i did in the lightest times. and i know i am super healthy and eating right for the most part and staying where i want to be. so the scale really doesn't bother me like it used to. so anyway, hang in there gals and just keep doing what you know is right and maybe start mixing things up a little bit as well. marcy i know that you mostly do walking but you might want to try getting some small weights and lifting those as well, start doing pushups and situps, even if you can only do a few to start. walking is great, i used it a lot when i was losing the weight but i find for maintenance i can't rely on it like i used to. my body is so much more 'efficient' now at doing what it does. so i need to keep it on its toes!

anyhow, happy friday all, hope everyone is enjoying their day off if you have it. is anyone putting up their holiday stuff this weekend? we are going to wait to get our tree and all that next weekend when i can dedicate a whole day and evening to putting it all together and getting the house ready. whee!

Hooray for snow, Skippy!

We just got back from a hike with my mom and dad. We''re going to the movies this afternoon and then out to dinner (either BBQ or Mexican).

Eating was pretty good yesterday, considering it was turkey day. I had all the usual foods (turkey, peas and carrots, mashed potatoes, stuffing). With a bit more stuffing and potatoes and a small piece of carrot cake (there''s some here waiting for you, Rod and Skippy).

Have a fantastic day all!

Kimi, I am coming over for my piece of carrot cake!!! hehee Your dinner sounds wonderful. Hey what is Santa and the three bears? I never heard of it; it sounds cute!

Linda, how are you feeling? I hope better.

Mara, I am glad you get to see your preggo cousins you haven''t seen for awhile! I bet they are excited to see you!

Mrs. Salvo, Zoe looks so cute!!! I love all the holiday avatars!

Marcy, do you guys have snow??

The snow melted and now it started up again! I feel like a kid super excited for snow. hehee I thought I would share a pic

Skippy,

How beautiful!!!!!!!!! It is just lovely where you are.

Thank you, I am feeling better today, not enough to eat well, but better.
It is warm here today, by warm I mean 63. By Saturday, it is supposed to be 50. Then it goes up and down, until the cold sets in, but not as cold as you cold weather states get.

DH and I would love to spend a snowy week in NYC one year. Not too snowy, just enough to have fun and take in the sites. Also, one year spend snowy weather in Australia and Germany, wouldn''t that be a grand time!!!

Linda

Here hubby is looking at the giant snow flakes.

Oh no Linda. . . I am so sorry. I hope you are taking care of yourself and drinking lots of fluids. I am in NM! I never been to Australia and Germany; that sounds like a treat! Yay to NYC and snow!

Great Photo Skippy, Makes you feel like Christmas is really coming.

Linda
I know; I think that is why I am so excited!!!! It had been in the low 70's this week and then bam we got snow and I am loving all the Christmas music!!! I was planning to walk but it is in the mid 30's so maybe I will just do some jumping jacks (ala Mara) and some weights. Plus everyone on this board is talking about music and holiday movies; it makes me want to make hot chocolate (sugar free) and watch the snow come down. hehee

Wow Skippy, that is a big fat temp drop in one week. Makes me want to go ice skating ha ha ha
