Gosh Thanks Everyone!!

Hi everyone. Happy Valentine’s Day. We had a great dinner at which I ate way too much – ugh but tomorrow is back on my normal routine.
CJ, I hope your dinner was great tonight.
Katebar, yay for loosing 3 kilos.
Shortblonde, great ideas and advice for someone who feels like binging.
Lorelei, yay for being happier and healthier than you’ve ever been.
DD, feel better soon.
Maisie, it sounds like you are doing great today. Woo hoo. It just takes one day at a time.
PW, congratulations on a great workout yesterday. I don’t think I’ll weigh in tomorrow either after eating out tonight. I’d probably scream. Tee hee.
Linda, you are so right; this only works because we make up our minds to do it.
Steph, enjoy your chocolate covered strawberries.
Rod, I am so excited to hear how well your interview went today. Good luck PS dust coming your way.
Appletini, I am so glad you had a great workout with your trainer today.
Jas, hi lady. I hope you are doing well.
Hi Mrs Salvo. I hope you are doing well too.
DeeJay, how sweet to have heart shaped muffins.
Mara, sorry to hear you are still feeling poorly. Get better soon.
I must get to bed. Take care and have a great Friday.

We just got back from a LOVELY dinner out--Kris surprised me with reservations at my favorite Italian restaurant. They made me my favorite appetizer (mussels in a spicy tomato broth--it''s to DIE for) even though it wasn''t on the menu. I had ravioli with browned butter and sage for the main course and then we split a chocolate ganache cake. He also got a fantastic bottle of local pinot noir that we brought with us. Plus, we split a bottle of our fave champagne earlier this evening. Decadent? Completely. I am so full and happy right now. (And possibly a little tipsy

I hope everyone had a fantastic V-Day!

AND QUINDITTO....if there is such a word, but I am dustin'' like crazy Rod!!!! I know how hard it is to collect a beloved''s ashes, but Koh is home now. We also have all our dear companion animal''s ashes, and one day we will do something similar, whatever happens they will be laid to rest with ours eventually.

Well as predicted I am sore today, but its not as bad as I thought (yet). I was expecting to fall out of the bed this morning, but its just the good sore, not the it hurts to go to the bathroom kind of sore.

We had a fabulous V-day dinner at home last night...I hate going out on V-day b/c its always so crowded and am not a fan of the prie fix menu. We made ravioli from scratch--spinach pasta filled with an herbed goat cheese accompanied with a tomato sauce...it was so yummy, and we had plenty of extra so we froze it to have in the future. I also got some other fun treats from Central Market (our gourmet version of Whole Foods) mini crab cakes, chocolate covered strawberries, and two mini raspberry chocolate mouse cakes. We had some bubbly with the crab cakes and one of our red wines with the rest of the meal. It was fun cooking together since its an activity we can both share and enjoy. I might have to start making the ravioli once a month to have on hand for quick weeknight dinners.

No working out for me today, its a friends birthday and she wanted to celebrate by having a girls lunch. Hopefully I can find some time to do a few things tomorrow.

Rod, I''m glad you finally had a good interview, it sounds promising so I''ll keep my fingers crossed for you. Also I keep forgetting to send my condolenses for your kitty. My dog was put to sleep in December, the week of my b-day, so I know how you feel. But at least your kitty isn''t suffering anymore.

Mara, Get well soon so you can have a belated V-day celebration.

Morning everyone! Hope everyone had a FANTASTIC V-day! We went out to dinner last night at one of our favorite Peruvian restaurants...so good! But I kept my indulging to a minimum. No dessert and had Ceviche for dinner. Fish in lime juice can''t be that bad...

Worked out 3 times this week so far, and planning on going tonight. Still not seeing much change though....sucks! I figure I may have to really take a look at what I''m eating because it''s not making sense to me at this point. I feel better, but I''m not loosing inches and I''ve only lost 2 lbs since mid-January. So weird. I just assumed that if I maintained my weight for years, adding all of this activity and not changing my diet would lead to weight loss? Maybe I''m oversimplifying...don''t know.

Rod - Good luck!!!

Enjoy the long weekend everyone!

Good morning all! Hope everyone had a wonderful v-day! We sure did. The lasagna and chocolate covered strawberries were yummy. I am so bad though....so I went out yesterday afternoon to get the mail, and there was the sports illustrated swimsuit issue...I was like what the heck? They have to send it out on Valentine''s Day??? Sorry, but I''m the only sex-goddess in this house tonight!! So I just tossed it with the other junk mail because that''s what I feel like it is...evil I know
11.gif
. Anyway, busy day today, sending out all the mortgage paperwork and they are coming to take pics of the house to put on MLS later. Hope everyone has a great day!

Rod, Best of luck with the job! Sounds very promising!!

Mara, hope you feel better!

Marcy, glad you had a great vday dinner....it''s okay to treat yourself on holidays, no worries!

LP, I loooove mussels too!

Apple, I hate going out on VDay too...sounds like you had a wonderful meal at home

Maisie, yay for the gym appointment!

cdt, your dinner sounds yummy and healthy...don''t sweat the weight loss, it could take months to see results.

CJ, hope your fancy seafood dinner turned out great!

Jas, good to hear from you....hope your pregnacy is going well

Hello to everyone else!

morning all! i am so tired of sleeping so i got up at 6:30 and made breakfast. i was thinking of going in for a 1/2 day today but 2 other people are out of the office anyway so figured why bother. just make it a totally useless week! plus this way i don't have to worry about anything as my fridays are very slow so it doesn't make sense for me to sit there waiting for a 1/2 day to pass so i can come home. and if i feel crappy again, it would suck. my fever is finally down consistently, not TOTALLY gone but like 98.9 so it's close. i slept from 9pm to 6am this morning but it's such a sloppy restless sleep...i feel like i have slept enough but then when i lay down and close my eyes, my body lets me sleep more. i just wish it would shut off my mind too so i could get a TRUE sleep. my brain is going crazy over here!

so last nite our lobster rolls were yummy with a bit of butter drizzled on them. we also shared a fried shrimp app but we only ate like 2-3 of the shrimp...honestly i think both of our stomachs have shrunk a bit! i finished my lobster roll which are kind of small anyway, but didn't eat some of the bread which is SO filling, and ate like 4 fries, and 3 small shrimps and that was all i could stomach for the time being. besides that yesterday all i had was a bit of cream of wheat, 2 english muffins and 2 eggs. oh and then i had one of the chocolate covered strawberries before bed because even though i didn't even want it...i was like TODAY is my splurge day and i want to have some chocolate!!! it was really good and i enjoyed it. greg was like 'well since you were sick today, it doesn't count, so you can have dessert one day this wkd too'...i was like aww honey you are sweet but i don't really want to! hehee. so we'll see. honestly being sick, not eating sweets is not a big deal at all for me..and when i do put my mind to it, i can do it quite easily. so much easier to do nothing than some as a lot of us say on here. what is the deal with THAT.

today greg and a friend are picking up our new tv which is so exciting...and they'll set it up. this thing is going to be massive compared to what we have now, we're practically giddy. we ordered an HD tivo and programming which should be coming next week so once that arrives everything but our DVD will be in HD. woo hoo. then our friend and his girlfriend wanted to go to dinner up the street at this fab cuban place, so assuming that i feel okay to sit in a chair for 2 hours, we'll do that.

sounds like everyone had a lovely valentine's day dinner and evening!! and yes indulgence is part of the valentine's day thing, so no one should feel guilty hehee.

my breakfast is a switch up today, TJ's steel cut frozen oatmeal cube with some sf maple syrup, echinacea peppermint tea, and 1/2 an english muffin with honey. lunch will probably be 2 eggs again, i got tired of having soup.

linda aww i'm so sorry that your grandson has this horrible flu, it's nasty! i can't imagine a child having it...poor little thing. i hope he feels better soon!! theraflu helped me a TON during the really bad times, not sure if they have a childrens version but it's my new favorite thing.

cj i saw your post about my roses in my ww thread, you are too sweet. right now i don't have any roses unfortunately but they are gearing up for a hopeful march bloom!!

sb, good for you on breaking from sweets, as you know i am too and it feels much better than worrying about what to have a portion of.

maisie, yay on joining a local gym. can't wait to hear of your progress.

apple, yay for your hard workout and sore muscles. your vday dinner sounds yummy. i love impromptu fun stuff that you do together.

steph..i keep seeing you talk about your upcoming move, how far out is it?? lol re the magazine!

rod, it's good to hear that you had a good interview this time!! keep us posted, i'll keep my fingers crossed for you! oh and don't worry, i am not doing a darn thing while sick, literally it's all i can do to move from bed to couch to kitchen. unfortunately that's just the way it'll have to be til i am totally better. i do hope my muscles aren't totally dying off, but oh well. at least i am not eating sweets or a lot of food so it's not like i'm gaining weight haha.

happy friday all!!

Wow Mara you sound like you have been really poorly. I have only had the flu once and I really hated it. I ended up with vertigo for weeks due to some kind of fluid build up in one of my ears. My husband said I was lying on the floor when he came in from work singing the winnie the pooh song to myself!

Rod, when do you hear about the job? I''m so excited for you! Lots of luck!

Mara, seriously your roses are gorgeous. You''ve inspired me to try growing roses this year.

Steph, I would have done the SAME thing with the Sports Illustrated mag. Haha...

I had a very lovely (indulgent) dinner last night. I bought two 2-lb lobsters from my favorite lobster market, along with half a dozen Kumamoto oysters and half a dozen Diamond Point oysters. It was the first time I tried shucking oysters, and I have to say it was VERY successful! We just had them as an appetizer, on the half shell with cocktail sauce. FI made pommes frites, which I only ate a few of. I also bought a ciabatta baguette which was delicious. I boiled the lobsters and made a side of carmelized onion nests with an egg cracked on top. I was soooooooo stuffed, but very happy last night.

Didn''t get to the gym yesterday, but plan on going tonight for either a class or elliptical. Happy workouts to everyone!

Oh Maisie, I meant to ask, what is an induction?

Good afternoon everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful V-day. Since DBF is still under the weather, we didn't end up getting together last night. We usually don't do too much for V-day anyway, just a low key dinner in together. I decided to make the most of the night and hit the gym for a butt kicking cardio kickboxing class. I even called ahead a few hours before to make sure it was still on and it was. So, I get to the gym about 30 minutes before class starts and it's cancelled
38.gif
I was disappointed, but ended up working on my arms (bis & tris) and doing a good 45 minutes on the elliptical trainer. All in all, not a bad workout, just not what I had planned. I'm really trying harder to focus on weights & specifically upper body & arms so that I can feel more confident wearing shorter sleeves & sleeveless tops this summer. After the gym, I wasn't feeling too hungry and I ended up eating celery sticks, not quite as yummy as a lot of your dinners. Tonight is back to the gym for more cardio - hurrah for Friday!

marcyc - Glad to hear you had a great dinner last night
5.gif

appletini - Your V-day dinner sounds incredible! I'm salivating just thinking about it
3.gif

Maisie - Good luck with the gym! And don't feel bad about the 70 lbs - I think I have at least 50 to lose if not more. It will take some time but we'll get there!
cdt - Your dinner sounds fantastic! Don't get too bummed about the slow weight loss. I'm in the same boat and have decided not to weigh myself that much and just keep doing what I'm doing w/diet & exercise and see changes in how clothes fit, etc. and not worry as much about numbers. It isn't always easy to do, but that's the plan.
Steph - LOL @ you chucking the SI swimsuit issue
27.gif
Your dinner last night sounds delicious! Good luck with the MLS stuff.
Mara - Glad you're feeling better. Enjoy the Cuban dinner if you go.
CJ - Your dinner sounds divine!!! Glad you had a great V-day!
Rod - Good luck again with the job - let us know how it goes!

Have a great day and weekend everyone!!

Looks like things are looking up all

Rod, bucket of dust launched and heading for you.

Maise, Good Luck with the induction!!!

Hi to everyone else, once again, I apologize for not responding where appropriate.

My nephew and SIL and bro are doing well. My little boy got to meet his cousin yesterday. DH works second shift, so we haven''t done anything for evening V-day plans for a few years, but yesterday he surprised me by having the night off, reservations made at our favorite Italian place, and a babysitter! We had a fantastic meal and discovered a new wine. It was lovely. Also, he presented me with roses and chocolates and a ring. (the jewelry is very unusual for Vday) The ring has an amethyst center stone (my son''s birthstone) and then a double row of diamonds (DH''s birthstone )with three (on each side)pink sapphires between the rows of diamonds. Dh doesn''t know they''re sapphires, he thinks any pink stone is pink tourmaline which is my birthstone, so he got it as a "family" ring. I''m not going to tell him they''re sapphires.

Have wonderful days and evenings, all!

Its where you go and they show you how to use the machines in the gym. Sorry, I forgot that you lot might call it something different.

Hey, Mara....the movers are coming on the 25th, so 10 more days, then delivering our furniture on the 27th. We are only moving about 3 hours north, from Ft. Lauderdale to Orlando, so not too bad and since it''s a company relocation, they are packing up all of our stuff for us, so that is nice, we won''t even have to pack 1 box. It''s just the stress of buying a new house and leaving an old one that is crazy. Thank goodness it''s almost over!

Hey........It's been a nice day. I didn't really do anything on the job front. Just kind of took the day off from searching. Needed a break really. I met Charlie for lunch, then exchanged a set of workout headphones I got last month, which decided to stop working last night on the elliptical. Then just drove around with the top down as it's a fabulous day in Tampa today. Charlie will be heading home sood from his last few days as a working guy, then we're heading out for our Friday sushi, fro-yo and coffee under the oak.

I don't know when I'll hear next about the job I interviewed for yesterday. It could be a few weeks, so the job hunt must continue until I have a firm offer in hand.

Sounds like everyone enjoyed Vday.

Apple, I'm glad you're not too sore, but glad you're sore none-the-less. A little soreness means you burned some muscle. So WOO HOO for you! Your Vday dinner sounded yummy!

Good luck with the "induction" Maisie. The gym has totally transformed my life as it has for many of us here. And 70 pounds may seem like a lot, but with hard work and sensible eating, you can definitely do it. Slow and steady is the way. 1 - 2 lbs., a week is the max you should aim to lose, so this should take you some time. Get with a good trainer and a nutritionalist and they can help you put together a sensible plan.

Steph, sounds like your dinner was yummo too!

Mara, I'm glad you're not going to work out until you're better. No worries on losing muscle. According to everything I've read, it takes at least 6 weeks of absolutely no exercise to begin to lose some muscle.

CJ, actually your dinner wasn't as indulgent as you think. Shellfish is extremely low in fat and high in good cholesterol. Sounds like you had a great dinner and since we had lobster last night, much like ours!!

PW, I'm glad you got to take advantage of the evening and get in a good workout!! I hope DBF is feeling better soon.

somethingshiny, sounds like you had a fabulous Vday celebration. The surprise, the flowers, the chocolate AND the ring. Wow, someone obviously love's you a lot!!!

Charlie just walked in, so we're heading out for dinner. We're both famished, so I'm really looking forward to dinner.

Have a nice evening everyone!!

Hi everyone. I ate my normal 1200 ish calories today but tomorrow is a shopping to Denver trip (yes 2 jewelry stores are involved) and meeting my family for dinner at one of our favorite steak houses that has to die for peanut butter pie.
Ladypirate, it sounds like you had a lovely dinner and Valentine’s Day.
Hi Lorelei.
Appletini, your homemade dinner sounds yummy. Good way to spend Valentine’s Day.
Maisie, yay for going to the gym on Monday. You won’t die working out and I am sure they’ll start you slow. Just start small and work at building up your endurance. Good luck on reaching your weight goal. Discipline and dedication will get you there.
CD, I think loosing 2 pounds in about a month is a nice pace. Hang in there.
Steph, that is wonderful your lasagna and chocolate covered strawberries were delicious. LOL at misplacing the swimsuit issue.
Mara, congratulations on your new TV and HD programming. You’ll enjoy it.
CJ, it sounds like you had a lovely dinner last night.
PW, sorry to hear your class was cancelled last night but yay for getting in a great workout.
Somethingshiny, I am glad you had such a pleasant surprise last night. Your ring sounds lovely. I hope you’ll be posting pictures soon. Glad to hear the baby and all are doing well.
Rod, it sounds like you had a lovely and picture perfect day. We cracked open our sunroof the other day – but not for long. Tee hee.
Have a great evening. See you later.

Somethingshiny, yippee to your new nephew finally being born.

Welcome Fancy. It sounds like you and your DH are making wise choices in trying to eat healthier and work in some exercises. I have a dish of Dryer’s slow churned ice cream many evenings. It’s low fat and comes in many delicious flavors for only 100 to 150 calories per ½ cup. I would highly recommend it for a treat.

Yum! That sounds delicious! I will look for it. Thanks!

well, DH and I managed to take a 1/2 mile stroll yesterday, and a 1.25 mile stroll today. I''m hoping we can add in some yoga or something too. I have some DVDs I used to do all the time in my super fit days. I think the frustrating part of trying to live healthier is having to wait to see progress.

Worked out this morning and got my Toyota Matrix tonight . . .

Woo, it was tiring, but I think made up karmically for being called "sweetheart" and being made to cry the first time I bought a car (I was 19, but still). DH said I made his blood run cold and became another person. He liked the "aw shucks" salesman and was ready to fold at the first sign of tension. I mean, seriously, DH (an ENFP) just innately wants to get along with people. He's a tension avoider. As an INTJ, I'm just like, hmmm, sorry we kept you after hours two nights in a row for this to come to nothing . . .

Some of my favorite lines were, "Right. That's the offer you gave us last night. And you're offering everyone the rebate. Now you've come back and said, 'Ta Da!' I'm adding the rebate everyone is entitled to!' But it's the same offer as before." I also liked it when the manager told us to be flexible and asked us what we thought about that. I said, "OK, I hear you telling me to be flexible. Well, we told you what we want to spend, and you've said you can work with us but suggested no alternative. Give me a number and I'll tell you if I can be flexible."

So we met in the middle, AND THEN the financial guy came out and said, oops, sorry, don't shoot the messenger, but the manager from last night got the numbers wrong (and yet he was quoting the offer from today's manager, not last night's, but it's easier to blame someone who's not there for the "mix-up") and the optional rebate was "included" in the price we had been offered and, oops, he had to up the price $1000. So instead of getting an additional $600 off the original "better" offer, they were trying to up the original offer $400. DH tried to explain earnestly to them what we'd really been told (like they didn't know), but I just announced I was "very angry" about this "waste of time" (which made our overweight, older "aw shucks" salesman turn BRIGHT red and sweat visibly) and started leaving and waddayaknow, never mind, the extra $1000 was just a mistake, look, I'm ripping it up, heh heh, sorry. Do people really fall for that? I also took the trade-in off the table because they offered only 80% of what CarMax offered us after all their back and forths (which I never shared with them, of course, I just said, hmmm, I think I'll keep it, but this price still applies, right?).

Really, I think I can only handle this once a decade. But it was kind of fun, though.

PHX~ great job!!!

I''ve bought 3 vehicles. The first when I was 18, and it was a 1980 chevy citation. (the year was 1998). The salesman (it was apparently a trade-in) kept telling me it was $500. I told him every single thing that was wrong with it and said that he could take $250 for it or let it rot in his back storage. He stood up and shook my hand. I sold it 2 yrs later for $375.
The next vehicle I bought was a 1990 sonoma pick-up. It booked at $800 more than I paid for it. Then, I bought my first new vehicle. I got another good price, but unfortunately it was a POS. I got rid of it within 3 yrs. There is something exhilerating that happens when you''re in a car dealership. DH just stands aside and lets me do the talking. (He backs down way too quick. "well, if you say it''s the best you can do...")

Have a great tomorrow, all!!

evening wwt''ers...! we got our new tv and it''s sooo awesome. we''re watching batman begins on it right now but i''m about to pass out and head to bed...it''s been a seriously full day for me after 4 days of nothing. we don''t have the HD dvr yet but when it comes we just switch out our old one.

went to dinner tonite, my first meal out in almost a week! dinner was quite yummy. had a glass of white sangria..chilean seabass, garbanzo soup. yummy. tomorrow i would have zumba but dont know if i''ll go...if i feel great i will as it''s just a bit of cardio and i can go as full out or not as i''d like to...so it might be a good way to get back into working out. we''ll see. our weekend is pretty open which is great, i just want to concentrate on getting better entirely.

pg congrats on your new car. when we got our Mini, we just decided to lease as we knew we didn''t want a Mini longer than 2-3 years and i was grateful we didn''t have to haggle at all. it was like...we want that one. done. i''m sure you''ll love the new ride.

anyway, off to bed, night all! enjoy your saturday!

Good morning all! Just got back from a nice 3 mile run in the neighborhood. I haven''t been working out as much these past few weeks with all the stres of our move, but I had forgotten how great I feel after I work up a sweat from a nice run. It really is a stress-reliever and I need to remember to take the time b/c it really helps.

Mara, I read earlier in the week where you posted that when you first lost weight, you did cardio only. What all did you do and how often? I am trying to buckle down and lose a few lbs. since we are going to start trying for baby #2 when we get settled into our new house. I really want to start out a new pregnancy down a little from what I am now since I gained sooo much with Andrew. I really don''t want to do anything different w/ my diet b/c I am already eating healthy so I think it all comes down to workouts.

hey steph..! my plan was to lose ''10 lbs''...that quintessential 10 we all feel like we''d look better without right??

i worked out for a few months about 3x a week. kickboxing and some elliptical. watched what i ate ''for the most part''. i did some arm weights like 1x a week.

but wasn''t losing. so finally after a trip in august to palm springs where i felt yucky in my bikini...i was like look i am 30 now (i think i was 31 actually)...my body is only going to be going DOWNHILL from here. so it''s up to me to stop the clock and get into tip top shape so that i can go into my thirties and beyond as good as i know i can be.

so i started working out 6x a week and did a detox or two to jump start my eating habits (with monnie!) and then started counting calories as well. that is really all it took, the more workouts (more intense, longer too) and really watching what i ate. i only consumed the # of cals i was supposed to in a day...i was pretty strict with myself. i am WAY more lax on myself now with eating because i''m in maintenace.

but doing that i lost about a total of 20 lbs in 4-5 months. and then everyone was saying i was too thin, etc etc. i felt FINE but i ended up packing on some muscle and putting on about 7 of the lbs i lost. so that''s mostly where i''m at now. i fluctuate a little based on what i am eating. now i am doing more muscle resistance than cardio, and i work out 5x a week rather than 6x and sometimes it''s only 4x. and i do shorter more intense cardio than long drawn out cardio like i did when i was just plainly calories in and out for the weight loss. now i try to maintain my muscle and keep my fat low instead of just watching the weight on the scale.

so if you feel like you are doing something but not getting anywhere, i''d say ratchet up the workouts both in time and intensity (aka if you are doing 30 minutes then do 45 and add some intervals in there to get your heart rate spiking and dropping a few times) and add another 1 or 2 per week. even add a really long walk in here and there can help. and on the eating, i''m not sure if you are counting but i find that is the cleanest way to just drop the weight...assuming you eat the right ratios/combos of food for what you want to do, eat enough cals, but make sure they are the right ones, combo''d with workouts should work.

knowing what i know now i might have added some weights into my routine like after losing about 10 lbs...rather than getting to 20 with hardly any weights because i wasn''t very strong, but i was just so into losing the weight. i did SOME weights like 2-3x a week at the gym but it''s not like what i do now and it just mostly focused on my arms. now i work my core, butt, legs, arms so i''m more balanced. and they say that when you carry more muscle that you burn more cals and now i totally do believe it because since i started working with my trainers and doing more muscle work, i eat more than i have before cals wise, quite consistently, and i still can maintain. so i''d say lose a few lbs and then start doing some weights to help bring the burn up. hope this helps!!

anyhow morning all! quick check in but i feel SO much better today!! i slept for 12 hours last nite, the first 3 were restless but then i slept in two big blocks which was great. i still feel tired amazingly, like i could sleep MORE...this flu is insane!! i have slept more in the last 4 days than i think i have all month. but this wkd is totally open for us, mostly so i can recuperate. we might go to this SF museum thing tomorrow with my parents but that''s it.

so i just made us a little breakkie (cereal for greg, light n fit for me and TJ''s mini wheat bagels toasted with butter for both of us) and i am going to brave my zumba class!!! first time in 7 days i will have worked out. yikes! i am going to take it slow, good thing about this class is i can make it as hard or easy as i want, i can ''walk'' through the steps or ''dance'' through them. so i''ll just see how i feel. but i am excited about doing SOMETHING active. and it''s only an hour. then i can come back and nap for another 4 hours or whatever! we might go get burgers tonite at our fave dive joint and then come back and watch a movie on our new awesome TV. the last few nights i have been zonked by like 9pm so i imagine tonite will be the same.

anyhow hope everyone is enjoying a beautiful saturday. we have had amazing weather here this week, today is more of the same, sunny and about 65-70 degrees. we need more rain but i hope it doesn''t come til sometime in march...we have guests coming end of the month and i''d love for it to be nice while they are here. my bulbs are starting to sprout and i actually finish cleaning up the patio this wkd and tidy it all up from dead winter debris and plant some spring stuff. we''ll see how energetic i feel. happy sat all.

Good morning all,
Well I have the flu AGAIN!!!!! My other grandson came down with it, both of them had it and I caught it. I was so sick all night, I just dragged myself out of bed to read a few emails, then I am going back to bed.

I will check in later.

Sicky Linda AGAIN.

Hey, Mara....thanks for all the great advice. I am tracking my cals on sparkpeople and stay within my range on most days although it is really at the high end. I will up the time/frequency of my workouts and see if I start seeing results. I probably run 3-4 times a week right now and do weights about 2 days a week. I am going to keep my weights the same and up my cardio to 6 days/week and go a little longer and see if that helps me to get some results. I know you have to constantly change things to keep seeing results...I was consistantly losing a few lbs. a week and then boom, nothing. So anyway, thanks again for the tips!

Oh no Linda! Hope you are getting some sleep and feel better! Hugs!
