So will GOG be carrying these?

Ladies, you realize don't you that we all have the throw away our old asshers and get in line for one of these.

I would love to see this stone in person.

It is difficult to discern in the video, but does this asscher have the "hall of mirrors" effect? It seems to have well balanced brightness throughout the stone, but when you look into the stone does it give you that depth perception, I couldn''t pick that up in the video.

I know this is the first prototype and there will likely be more. Are you considering slightly increasing the table size and reducing the corners slightly to more resemble the asscher look? To my eyes the table was a bit too small and didn''t allow me to see "into" the stone.

Just my two cents. Great stone and would love to have one :D

It does but at this size you really have to look for it.
In larger sizes it will look 100 miles high then 100 miles deep.
This one the 100 miles high comes out but the 100 miles deep you have to look for it but it is there.

I can not discuss future plans.

As the other thread stated the p3''s on this one while fine in person are right on the edge that will be fixed for production, DiaGem is a genius for saving it. That is the nature of prototypes.
The kewl thing is that while over 75% deep the spread is the same as or better than most asschers its weight on the market.

I plan on doing a journal article describing the journey and the diamond in more detail.
The story starts here:

One little itty bitty thing though... don't shoot me...but well, um. In terms of marketting diamonds for jewelry for women Volcano may not be the most diplomatic name. You know... "I got a princess cut for my princess..." I picked a Novo because it's unique and new, just like our love... I picked a Jubilee cause that's how you make me feel. A round brilliant, something cheesey about her brilliance. But um, if my husband had gotten me a diamond named Volcano for my engagement ring, not sure he'd be my husband without some quick talking (just kidding, but you know what I mean).

It reminds me of a star honestly. I think Celestial would be a nice name for the cut. And... it makes for good marketing.

Just my .02. Hope you don't mind!

Wow, what''s next????! This has gotta prove the point that it''s best to buy from vendors with trade-in policies!!!!

Congrats Storm and Diagem!!!!! It''s beautiful!

(Storm...I will have to say that I think you need to go for a more romantic name for this stone if you want to sell a lot of ''em! Think along the lines of "Hearts on Fire"....many diamonds are sold for e-rings.)

Volcano?? No nope, not a kicken name. For a dude maybe. You need something more feminine....

Step with me, look into this stone, it''s all the beauty that I see in you.......

Loves takes many steps... I see myself taking the next step with you... Steps of love...

Oh I don''t know...

But Volcano? You know I adore you. But I have to say NO to volcano!!!

Strm, I noticed the GIA report was dated May of 2008.
You''ve been keeping a secret from us all this time?

Is this a diamond for yourself or your lady?

nope no secret, it was cut on the forum then it went in DiaGem''s vault when it got back from GIA where it had been since it was cut.

Eventually wifey2b will get it.
