Very likely eyeclean 7.5 x 5.7 great spread (PUT THIS ONE ON HOLD IMMEDIATELY trust me, it's free and this stone is potentially awesome) and a bright D color. This one is my favorite. I'm not seeing much of a bowtie either!

I know you were looking at higher colors, but I would buy this stone in a second if I had the funds: http://diamondbistro.com/category/215/Loose-natural-Diamonds/listings/31090/Old-European-Cut-OEC-143c-710mm-K-VS-Diamond.html It's a 7mm OEC for $5,200, don't know how much Mara would negotiate, but she's a long-time PSer with a great eye for old cuts. You could probably scrap the platinum setting for a few hundred if you go for the Beverly K.

Wow!! I am still trying to learn about cut and now we are taking about ASET and SARIN.... I need to continue reading. I have another STAT test this weekend, so this will be a slow process. I did like the last stone you mentioned. I think I would pick the setting first and then the stone. I know I wont go over 1700, but I need to see the setting first.

That's a gorgeous Bev K that is similar to mine, I actually showed a pic of one in real life in my LA reviews thread from Wanna Buy A Watch. It inspired me to add the little bezels to my design! I've tried it on in both white gold and pink gold (they plated it for another customer but she passed on it) and it's STUNNING! It has a 6.5 mm stone in it and it has massive finger coverage.

Honestly, you may not want to upgrade in the future if you go with that ring. Look at my ring thread and the finger coverage on a 5.25 fingers on a 5.5 mm stone. I think you may be happy for life with this type of ring! FWIW, my entire ring set incl. diamond, setting, customizations to the setting and wedding band (incl. shipping, no tax) was $4500.

I'm picky too, and the Bev K is STUNNING. It has the delicacy of the real rings of the style from 1910 (which I tried on at Wanna Buy A Watch, but were too delicate for everyday wear).

Your ring is beautiful and what a great price. It has that vintage look I love. Did Beverly K set the stone for you? Did you buy the stone from them or someone else?

Thank you! Bev K made the ring, but it was purchased through Good Gold Gold, as was the stone. Any vendor that works with Bev K can ask it to be customized. I was very happy with how GOG managed the customization of the ring and set it.

That is the retail price. The price to pricescopers is less than that. I think it's 20% less. They don't do sales but they do discount for Pricescope members. So that brings it to 2100. Which is only 400 above budget. If you went for Mara's stone (HIGHLY recommend you do, it is GORGEOUS).

Well, I would check with him. I could be getting it mixed up with another vendor. But I was under the impression that was true.
