Starting my search for an upgrade!

Hey @DejaWiz I may have caught the differences in fire between my two stones on camera. The new 2.38 also has lots of fire, not splintery - but the big blinding flashes that I only get from the 1.67 seem to always be from the edges / crown facets (right?) - any idea what causes this? So curious!

If I had to guess, I'd think it's due to the 16% crown height on the 1.67 compared to 15.5% on the 2.38.

Ok thanks, I wondered if that’s what it could be. I’ve been considering resetting the 1.67 to a bezel setting. Would you think a bezel could hinder those big flashes from the edges or no ?

No, I don't think so, but you could mock it up maybe with a foil rim or cup and see how it performs.

Just got my new ring (and my stone back) after 8 long weeks! I had plans for a very different custom ring at first, ran into some design hiccups and so I changed direction and decided on a solitaire instead. Made by David Klass.
