Here’s the comparison of my current ring 1.67ct / 7.67mm and the Lightbox 2ct / 8.1mm. The one I ordered from Ritani is 2.2ct / 8.3mm. Excited for the size upgrade! Kinda funny / a little annoying - I originally went with the 1.67ct diamond because I always felt like the 2ct moissanite I was wearing previously was far too big!

8.3 is going to look great...I think you'll be really happy with the added finger coverage once you get accustomed to it.

It's going to be a big size jump to 8.3mm! (And just to play devil's advocate since your order hasn't shipped yet, that 2.46 would look mighty fine on your finger as well.)

e2the3rd are you around a size 4 ring? I'm merely guessing, based off of the photos that you posted. It's going to be a heck of a nice bump in size!

Nope I’m 6.25 - 6.5 but still I know the size jump will be very nice ! I think the only reason I didn’t like the size of my 2ct moissanite was because it wasn’t a good cut which I didn’t know at the time, it was almost like clear through to the bottom

Yeah I got my current stone February last year and I really thought that would be it! What are you planning next? And what will you do with the 2.10?

Early delivery, the 2.20 arrived today!

There are moments when I think, whoa, that's one ginormous diamond, and other times when I can't really tell a large difference from my current 1.67 and wonder if I should go a little bigger. It is quite fiery!

I've taken some quick photos and tried using the ASET scope. The scope kit was missing the comparison plate for smart phones (it's on the way) which I assume has a way to hold the loose stone better than the setups I attempted... let me know if you can tell anything yet from my pics ? @DejaWiz @Kim N Thanks!!!

and a few of my attempts at ASET pics using stone holders

The cut looks fantastic. You did a great job with the ASET photos. It has a really nice presence on your hand, definitely bigger than your 1.67, but perhaps for more of an impact you could go up a full millimeter to 8.6mm. It's surprising sometimes how quickly a new size just looks "normal."

If you want to go bigger still, here's a pre-populated search for 2.5+, G+, max $2500:

Hooray! Thanks so much!! I'm going to try to live with it for a bit, hopefully will know what to do soon. All I've done today is analyze and take photos, and then I started checking for other options. I should stop and spend some quality time with it :)

Just a friendly reminder: not all of the diamonds listed will have ideal proportions and angles, so be sure to weed out any that don't make the cut.

The plate that holds stones from the ASET kit arrived so I took a few more pics with my phone over white light on my tablet. Anything new stick out, or still looking good? (there are scratches & marks on the plate) TIA!

Woohoo! Well that makes me feel good about it, thanks!! I wasn't sure if I was seeing too much green and/or too much darker red.

I'm *considering* ordering a second slightly larger stone, to compare and make absolutely sure I've made the best choice size-wise. Hesitating about having two stones on my credit card though, in case the order and return process takes a while.

I keep coming back to these 3 below for various reasons (appearance in video/size/price), even though prob not the best proportions. They all meet my new specs: 8.5mm+, VS+, colorless, wider arrows.

Without posting the links/videos yet, are you able to tell if you'd rule out any or all of these ?

1. 8.54 x 8.53 x 5.16 mm F VS1
8.54x8.53 F VS1.png 8.54x8.53 F VS1 prop.png

2. 8.52 x 8. 48 x 5.14mm F VS2

3. 8.64 x 8.61 x 5.37 F VS1

I wouldn't consider the first two for a ring. The third one has potential, but I see areas where there could be leakage under the table.

This one (diamond #2) actually may be worth investigating further...the PA and CA work, but I would definitely want to see it under an ASET or Ideal-Scope.

Kim N need your eyes...this one has absurdly perfect proportions and angles on paper. What do you think?

Completely perfect proportions! I would want an ASET image just to confirm, but it's probably as beautiful as expected. And it has wider arrows too--definitely a contender!

I’ve had this one in and out of my cart so many times

You should probably keep it there...maybe even go for it on a whim!

24% increase over your 1.67 carat

Ok I just went for it! Eek! Soon enough I can put all this wondering to bed. Thanks so so much to both of you for everything !! and thanks for bringing this one back up @DejaWiz ! I don't know why I kept ruling it out, I think because others in that blue light seemed like something odd about them
