Awesome! I love 1. the size, and 2. that matrix! Untreated sleeping beauty can have white matrix, although I see you think instead it's whitewater. 3. And the setting lets that baby really shine.
Wow, now this is a statement piece!
Those bolos are incredible, @stracci2000... made more special, of course, because they came from your dear FIL. Loving the pottery and artifacts as well!
I can't help thinking about ring conversions......!
My DH just received these bolo ties and pendant from his dad. They were made by a neighbor back in the 70s, in Albuquerque.
The neighbor was Clarence Sousea, the pieces are marked C.R. Sousea.
Dad also gave us these cool Pueblo pots (Isleta and Acoma) and two amazing axe heads. Dad found the axe heads years ago while hiking in northern New Mexico.
@Autumn in New England , the blue is so nice!
Not sure what kind of turquoise it is, just yet.
It doesn't have the typical black veining of Sleeping Beauty.
It has some nice stamp work, too.
My favourite piece now too
That looks like a nice chunk of Bisbee at 12 o'clock, @stracci2000!
I finally strung my Sleeping Beauty turquoise from NewWorldGems. The earrings are also Sleeping Beauty but from a different Etsy shop where I got the findings, which are 20k gold. I wish the match were better, but so it goes. I'm not sold on my decision of where to put the gold beads on the necklace so I'll probably restring them at some point.
I also made a Fox Mine turquoise bracelet for my partner. I have some extra of the Fox Mine that I'll knot with some sterling silver beads for me. Here are the two strands together and then the finished Sleeping Beauty set!

I showed these in another thread, but they belong here, too.
I picked up these two sterling bracelets in a small antique mall. I couldn't resist!
They are Navajo made in the tufa cast process.
A design is carved into volcanic tufa stone, then molten silver is poured in. The flat piece is then removed and shaped into a cuff. Then it is polished and stones are added. Lots of work and expertise is involved in this process.
I think this first one is from the 1970s, and it has great dark patina.
And this one is decidedly different, and newer. But it stole my heart, so I had to rescue it, too.
