So does anyone have a 6 prong? Any reason why these seem rare?

I have a tapered baguette setting. I used to have a matching wedding band with a notch, and I wanted to be able to wear a straight band alone or with my engagement ring. So I reset into the current setting with tapered baguettes and got a 7 stone to pair with it. I will eventually reset it into something totally different. It is a beautifully classic setting, but it is hard to pair bands with it - I think. _30519.jpg mhp_2654.jpg

I LOVE this pairing, unsettled! May I ask the tcw of your seven stone?

P.S. You know you’ve spent too much time on PS when your phone autospells ‘ask’ to ASET.

Mine is .75 tcw on a size 7.75 finger. My center diamond in 1.5 carat (for comparison's sake).

I love the 7 stone you paired with it! I could never find a band with stones that matched the shape of my ring and didn't look funny with it.

Thank you! And I agree, it was VERY hard. I must have tried on at least 15-20 different bands before finally settling on this one from WF. And I think I honestly only chose it because I loved the band so much as a stand alone. And I wear only the band about 75% of the time.....

Would you be willing to post a profile view of your e-ring? It looks lovely, and similar to something I've been rolling around in my mind. =)2

Sure! This is all I have access to at this moment. Does this work? Or do you want to see the part that touches my finger?

Ok, you have to tell me, which Whiteflash wedding band is it? I am in love with your set.

Does it rub against your engagement ring?
It does. One of the reasons I am resetting - eventually. You can see the notches it has rubbed in the prongs. Nothing is in danger of breaking right this second. But it will be eventually.

Does the friction put the diamonds at risk or is the damage mostly to the metal?

You know, I honestly don't know the answer to that question. I am sure someone does though. I just always assumed it was just an issue for the metal.

IMG_7354.PNG IMG_7355.PNG Hi Nala,
I love following your reset adventures!!! My ring is not an HW but it does have tapered baguettes. I have a few bands that I enjoy pairing with it. Here are a couple of looks.
Why can’t i find a thread on this beauty???

Just to mix things up a bit, I got my fiancé a rose gold tapered baguette marquise ring. She really didn’t want a diamond over 0.5 carat, and I think it is really well balanced and it suits her perfectly. The symmetry in it is really nice!

The other ring is my not tapered baguette ring, but they are the best photos I have! 3A3D739C-9147-406D-BA03-3D302BFAB001.jpeg 16B5B10C-F72A-4FF1-A661-B3762EA5657F.jpeg BCE689F8-604E-4A8B-ADF9-06DC58328CA8.jpeg

I love your fiancé's ring. The marquis is the best shape and faceting.

Not the first. Second is too skinny. Third is plain and clunky. The fourth looks best. Super pretty!
