So the harry Winston solitaire with tapered baguette setting has always been on my bucket list of settings. Lol. Please show me yours! And how you pair it with one or more bands or if you wear it so! I can’t find a dedicated thread for this so I apologize if there is already one!

I tried one on yesterday, nala! I don't like the radiant center but I like the concept of side baguettes. Not sure I'd choose it over a solitaire though!

What are you up to whahahaha
Your solitaire is gorgeous and ideal for stacking.
My sapphire ring has side baguettes. Here it is:

My ering has straight baguettes, not tapered. It’s pretty easy to stack rings since it’s basically like a standard straight shank and I like a little gap too.
I have seen a few comments here tho that tapered baguettes are sometimes a little difficult to stack if you don’t like having a gap and can also sometimes be difficult to work out what bands go with them. I initially struggled to find a band that went with mine - not the fit but the look. The baguette band I thought would be perfect, wasn’t.. but plain and engraved bands went really well with it.
Very interested to see what you’re planning @nala! I love your current setting and the ArtCarved compass setting you posted recently more I will say! This is such a classic setting tho, you can’t really go wrong.

Could you post a pic with your ring and band? It sounds divine

It’s not a patch on your glorious OEC but here’s a montage of the bands I tried on and liked with it. I ended up going with the upper left one as I love the two tone look.

What a beauty!! It deserves its own thread.
I love it combined with your engraved band. That would be my choice as well

Given your incredible jewellery, that is an amazing compliment @Acinom, thank you :kiss2:
Your OEC in its French cut setting is one of my absolute aspirational rings.

I used to have a pear in a tapered baguette setting. It was difficult to find bands that would work with it. I ended up with a .83 5 stone. It worked fine
but just wasnt that thrilled with the baguette setting. I finally reset it in a solitaire and like it so much better!

I knew I wanted to reset my original e-ring stone, 0.51ct G SI1. I went to several jewelers, including Tiffany, where I tried on various styles. I tried on the baguette-sides at Tiffany on a lark, not expecting to like it at all, and I fell in love! I ended up resetting it in the Vatche version - IMG_1141.JPG IMG_1161.JPG IMG_1168.JPG

IMG_7354.PNG IMG_7355.PNG Hi Nala,
I love following your reset adventures!!! My ring is not an HW but it does have tapered baguettes. I have a few bands that I enjoy pairing with it. Here are a couple of looks.

BDEBE074-2AC9-42BA-B779-DD2C27D2D4B0.jpeg I am thinking about a new band. Several people have suggested an engraved band so I think I’ll try one. I love the classic baguette look but finding a band I really like with it hasn’t been easy (clearly, if I’m still thinking about it after almost 12 years). I may pick up one YG and one Plat and can always use them in a stack if I don’t love them.

So if you do want the tapered baguette look, know that it may be hard to find a band that works. ;-)

Loving all the contributions and wondering why some of you don’t have dedicated threads to your beauties:love:

I saw this one while shopping for my birthday ring. Fell in love but it's a little on the chunky side with the 3 baguettes each side. I'm thinking similar with 1 or 2 baguettes and I'd now like a violet spinel instead of an amethyst. This one was £2500 with an amethyst.

Such a classic setting! I will admit though- it was really hard finding a wedding band I liked with it.

I am living for your setting, Wewechew! May I ask the dimensions of your stones, band width and finger size?

Do you know the length and width of your baguettes?
They are estimated at .3tcw. I will try to remember tomorrow to try to measure them. I’m guessing they are 2mm at the widest and go to 1.5mm at the narrowest.
