I also love this thread!! I think I am losing it, I love the M colored diamonds!!! (I thought I wanted as white as possible,but now I think M would be great cause they have personality, can someone explain this crazy thinking??)

Honestly, I think the most beautiful stones out there are the warmer old cuts. I don't know what it is, they are just so rich and gorgeous. If I ever look seriously into getting another stone, it would be one of those.

Since this thread played a part in my decision to buy a buttery warm cushion for my 10-year anniversary ring, I'll share mine here.

August Vintage Cushion, 1.40 ct, O, VS1, 6.64 x 6.85. Ideal cut, light performance, and symmetry. Excellent polish. No fluorescence. She looks surprisingly white most of the time IRL, but in certain light has a lovely warmth.

I cannot say enough about how helpful David of GOG was with the selection process. He made buying a diamond online easy and fun. The stone is now with Maytal Hannah for a custom rose gold setting.

This is an uncerted 2 ct VS2 OEC sold to me as an M/N and estimated by David Atlas to be an O/P. Faces up very white with a warm ivory in some light. Body color is a pinkish/yellowish brown. Perhaps color will be more obvious once it is set?

I keep pouring over this thread. I am still (half heartedly with a lot going on) searching for an OEC and each one I keep looking at is a lower color. I truly like the creaminess of lower color OECs and am not personally drawn to higher color stones. I have seen many in beautiful gold settings which compliment their warmth but I'm not a gold girl (at least at this point) and was worried they'd look out of place and not showing off to all their potential in a platinum setting. I'm happy to see so many of the M+ stones in platinum (or white gold).

I'm even happier to see the VC Sophia with lower colored center stones as I think it is my absolute #1 setting. Just beautiful on everyone's hand.
