Sorry, I meant to ask if the bezel is rose or yellow gold. Gorgeous either way!

Thank you Sharon. :) It's actually white gold bezel and white gold and stainless steel bracelet. In pics it can look darker but IRL it's super bright white and sparkly. The fluted bezel is just so so sparkly, like blingy sparkly. That's why it looks like a big sparkly bracelet that just happens to tell time, and remind me of the date. It's so substantial, but I forget that it's even on.

OMG!! LLJsmom!!
Your watch is gorgeous!!! LOVE everything about it!
The pink face.. the diamond "6" marker.
It's such a classic with a new twist.
You are so lucky to have found it.. there seems to be a worldwide Rolex shortage.
Enjoy! It's beautiful!!

Thank you @Rubies-R-Me . It does feel very classic, with the jubilee bracelet and the fluted bezel. The trend is oyster bracelets and domed bezels these days. Yep, I've been looking for 1.5-2 years, and though I changed my mind a lot, I finally figured it out. It was so hard not to compromise but I finally decided to go gray so I wouldn't have to. That required a few extra steps but at least I bought what I really wanted the first go around. I'm already scheming for the second one. It's addictive...

Here is my early Christmas present. What a saga this is been, but it’s over. 31 datejust. This pink sunburst dial is a total chameleon in various lighting environments. In most lighting it is a very neutral beige with a soft pink hue. The fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet makes the whole watch a very blingy piece of utilitarian jewelry. In fact, it’s so blingy that it almost out-blings my ering…

Gorgeous! I would love to see additional pictures/perspective shots as well!

Here are a few shots in the morning. As blingy as it is, it is so unobtrusive and doesn’t fight with my ring. I just love it. I still need to put it away for Christmas. Otherwise I’d wear it every day.

@cushioncutnut : how fo you feel about your Cartier Panthere Ruban?
I love it , but I know it's very heavy, so I'm afraid it might be not very comfortable.
What about the mother of pearl dial? Classic or fashionable?
Thanks in advance.

I love it and it is very comfortable. Does not feel heavy at all really. My mom gave it to me so it is a treasure :)

@LLJsmom Your new watch is gorgeous!! Very elegant and looks amazing on you!

Since you are so knowledgeable about Rolex, can I ask if you know of a good site to benchmark PL prices? I’m not into watches, but DH is and am thinking of getting him one similar to this, if the price is reasonable. I understand prices have really gone up the past 12-24 mo and am not sure how to determine what is a fair price. I’m a typically PSer and don’t want to overpay :)

Have you ever gone on Chrono24? That is where I bought mine. They are a platform that connects buyers with sellers, and essentially offers an escrow service where the money is not released to the seller until the buyer is satisfied with the watch. I don't know if you read my long post about what I went through to authenticate my Rolex, but I think a lot of people don't bother with that. They just choose a seller with a lot of great reviews. See post #1127. Chrono24 is great because the reviews specify the watch purchased as well. You don't want to buy from a seller that has mostly great reviews, but sells only Seikos and Omega. Nothing wrong with those brands, but if you want to buy Rolex you want to buy from a seller that has great reviews selling Rolex. If you are interested in the seller that sold me my Rolex let me know. We can connect somehow. But back to your question.

I would go on Chrono24. I would definitely use the APP. Create a search or multiple searches, set the parameters you want, and then save the searches. When new Rolexes get put on the site that fit your parameters, you get notifications. And there are soooo many that go on the site. I still get notifications every day. There are many, many watches available, from like NEW to used. And then you will get many many hits and the prices can vary hugely. That is where I went to choose my watch among many, and also to see where the pricing for mine fell among the many offered. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I paid 17.7% above retail. My watch was essentially new because I had an undated warranty card, and the watch was actually new. I could have paid more or less.

You probably already know but hope you don't mind me mentioning anyway when buying from any reseller. Outside of Chrono24...
1. Respected resellers: Tourneau, Bob's Watches, David SW. If you go on Reddit, there is a list somewhere with more...
2. I noticed Jaztime has a lot, but I don't think they accept returns, which makes me nervous, but their prices seem very competitive. And they have a lot of stock.
3. I am super nervous about the the watch being 100% Rolex, all internal parts and everything. So be super suspicious of strange colors and blinged out dials. Also that is why I felt I had to get the movement and internal parts examined, even though it cost me an extra $300. I paid for peace of mind.

If you feel comfortable listing the specific features you want, I am happy to help you search too. Looks like you want:

Datejust
fluted bezel
oyster bracelet
36 or 41?
roman numerals
blue dial
do you require box and papers? or just box? or just papers?
Is there a specific range of years you wanted, meaning 2020-2021, or 2018-2021, or only 2021?

Or if you are open to other options?
roman numbers or batons?
oyster or jubilee bracelet?
fluted or smooth bezel?

Just specify and I can help you search. Or let me know if you have other questions.

Thank you @Made in London . It does vibe with my ering. The fluted bezel helps.

Thank you @SandyK . Is it time for another one for you?

Beautiful and I love how it looks with your gorgeous rings!
Thank you so much @cushioncutnut .

Observations: It is quite a bit blingier than I expected. I am sure I will get used to it. But it makes me feel like I NEED a yachtmaster 35, which would have a more casual vibe. Yah. This is a very slippery slope.

I love this thread! Three years ago, I posted here about my plan to buy a nice watch for my 40th birthday. Now I turn 40 in two months (!) and just bought a small Cartier Tank Francaise two-toned rose gold/stainless steel with mother of pearl. I love the elegant and understated look, plus the two-tones help integrate my rose gold pieces more into my overall look.

PXL_20210805_131604091.jpg

I am hoping this will be a forever watch. My only concern is whether it looks too small on me? I am not a fan of big watches on myself, but I want to make sure it looks proportional. I am still in the return period. Such a big decision for me!

I have this same size watch and I find it works very well for both day and evening, which is what I was hoping for when I bought it. The small face can take same getting used to if you're used to bigger watches, but overall I find this to be very comfortable, practical, and classic.

WOW!!!! Great stash! We are on the same wavelength--as I was thinking last night (while trying to fall asleep) about all the watches I've had in my lifetime (and what I did with them!!). I just have one left that works--my Yachtmaster and I don't even wear that.

Please show us your rose gold one--it sounds gorgeous!

Would LOVE to see a pic of your Yachtmaster.
Maybe this thread will give you the hankering to start wearing it again.. or at least take it out and dust it off for a photo!

What a stash!! They are all beautiful and blingy, for sure. I would love to get a day date someday. Lucky daughters. And perfect to have 2 for each of them. Love the MOP faces too.

I am going to preface - this is NOT a luxury watch. So, sorry if I am violating the thread rules.

I wasn't sure where else to share it! It is very rare and I have been hunting for this exact model for a while. I just bought it, so don't have it in hand yet.

It is an Imado moon phase quartz () vintage watch. I think it has a stunning design...I love the Lillian Vernon moon phase watch too.

It comes with the original box, woot!

If you could just wait, you can get him a new (newest edition) one from an authorized dealer. I personally wasn't willing to pay above retail for a gray market watch that might not even be the latest version. A datejust is not going to be in the impossible to access category. My local dealer actually told me he could order me a lady DJ now if I wanted.
