Thank you @MissGotRocks. Yes, the band is from Caysie and it’s 2.3mm. When I placed my order, I asked to have mine made a little wider than her standard width. I think her Etsy listing states a 2mm width.

Thanks - I thought it looked wider than 2mm. It is beautiful and I love it paired with the channel set band!

Bubbalah on the right hand for now. Please excuse the dry skin. I haven’t been moisturizing for concern of a n allergic reaction. I’m hypersensitive right now so eschewing all optional topicals at the moment.

Even though I’ve had it for a couple weeks now, I can’t stop taking photos of my antique cushion from Old World Diamonds. It changes so much in different lighting, and I’m mesmerized. I had a hard time choosing which photos to post, but it is very fun to shamelessly show off. It’s 3.58 carats, O-P, VS2

@maryred - One more question regarding your Frenchie/Round band - is it considerably taller than your channel set band? Does it protrude beyond that channel set band alot? Thanks for letting me pick your brain!!

@MissGotRocks I’m happy to answer your question. There is a very, very slight difference in band height, and there is also a 1/4 size difference between the 2 rings that seems to emphasize the difference in height. The band with all rounds is size 5.75 and about 1.75mm tall, compared to the band with French cuts that is size 6 and just under 2mm tall. I don’t have calipers to get an accurate measurement, but I hope the photo helps. The band with all rounds is on the right.

Today, it’s my newly made ‘art deco’ style 18C WG careé ruby and new (not vintage) OEC cut ring. The center stone is about a 40 Pointer and about 1 carats of rubies in total.

I am sort of thinking that the difference is due more to the difference in sizes than in the height of the ring.

Since we customized the ering, my fiance went ahead and had the band custom made as well to be sure the diamonds matched up perfectly. We took it out last night to play and enjoying it sparkling last night while sitting outside under garden fairy lights, grear lighting BTW for sparkling I love it, it's so comfortable and blingy and can't wait to wear both!

Make sure you really want to do that. Once soldered you are stuck warring them together all the time and occasionally you might not want to and might decide you would like to mix and match. Just a thought. Anyway they are beautiful together. Enjoy!

I agree, definitely on the fence and I figured I will go through a few seasons to see how swelling and shrinkage go and see if I want to be able to mix and match. Thanks Missy! You know your diamonds so I appreciate your advice. I had so much fun reading your bubbalah post last night. She is just spectacular!!!! You must have SO much joy and fun wearing her everyday!
