Yes, I'd say so. Both the emerald and the diamonds look a bit dull. You could try to clean it and see if that will help, but definitely no ultrasonic for emerald.

I would return it only because you aren't as happy as you should be. Its new and blingy and you should be excited! I think when you find the right one you won't wonder. Just my 2 cents.

Here's a curious specimen, sold as chromium dravite from the Merelani Hills in Tanzania, but is actually an emerald crystal. I'm not sure where it's from. It doesn't look like a Tanzanian emerald.
