I just tried the best pie of my life yesterday...ok, let me explain it (gramma''s recipe) it was pistashio pie filling (made by jello) with Kiwi slices on top with cool whip and sliced almonds on top in a grahm cracker crust, it reminds me of summer but DAMN was it good!--you guys should try it

yeah..those pistashio pies really do well on the yummiscope. triple vh (very healthy) it must be because of the kiwi slices on top. lemon pies don''t score as well (lack of kiwi slices?)...but DAMN they''re good!

What I don''t like about the kiwi pies is the DARK pattern of the lines in the kiwis. It makes them look - I dunno - DARK? Not enough contrast between the black pattern and seed areas and the GREEN flesh of the kiwi.

Nah - lemon is the ONLY pie for discriminating palates.

I can't send Deco a slice of Kiwi pie - it's got Cool Whip on it. Everyone knows that people prefer real cream on the pie. Of course, it is more pricey, but if you can afford a whole slice with cool whip, you can just buy a smaller slice with real cream.

I'm sure it couldn't be that some people actually prefer Cool Whip to real cream (yanno, the lactose intolerant and those who just grew up liking Cool Whip better). Even *they* secretly want real cream.

Anyway - one lemon slice on the way, Deco.

Again: if you prefer the H, of course it''s valid. But as some people have plainly said early on in this thread, they would trade color for size or $ - which is why having that option does not get at the heart of the issue of AESTHETIC preference. Taking away that option does - right? Only if you take away the option to trade in/resell can you get rid of size v. color, size v. $ considerations and talk plainly about aesthetics - isn''t that the point?

We''re not disagreeing on the fact that there is no one answer! Some people may truly prefer warmer colors, and some have stated that they pick them for value. We''re disagreeing on what is the right Q to ask.

The reason I brought up the popularity thing is that I simply believe that the scenario I posed is the most logical one to ask DF''s question - and I was noticing that Mara, who seems to me often very logical, did not comment on it (and you two are friends, which is cool).
