Monghsu unheated rubies and greenish Mogok spinels. On the verge of getting the rubies until I saw cracks.

Got the Mogok sapphire cab instead.

It's ok to buy whatever you like since there's no Yes No to this. Personally I don't because I can access unheated ones (it's like rubies) and they are within pricepoints I'm ok with. Locally here there's still a higher demand for unheated ones, should I ever need/want to resell.

Many of the heated ones are priced very high too.

Silky depends on your tolerance. I'm not a fan of it and most mainstream buyers don't fancy that too. But many forum members like the glow.

Thank you:kiss2:. This is the first heated one I am looking at. Giving this one a miss after all. It does not light up in dim light. Good to know and learn.

As far as I know, no blue sapphires light up in dim light. That is a property only found in chromium rich gems that have some component of red. So you might find it in red, pink, or purple sapphires, sometimes pads, but never in a true blue. Blue sapphires derive their color from iron, which makes the effect from chromium. It would be a futile search, if that's what you look for in a blue sapphire.

That's true. Thank you for your advice.

My big landscape bought off wechat was set in a different factory, not the one that LS goes to. Wechat factory supposed to be better workmanship. Look at this. I'm waiting till early next week before I follow up on shoddy wo workmanship.

I have the same issue with my green pendant. One of them. Crooked.

The pendant costs 18 800RMB and I expect better quality.

Huge haul, huge fun! My favorite are the apple green cabs. Weren't they supposed to match something you already have? Luscious pretty green. Earrings? Yum

Disgustingly crooked. Did you fb to YY? What did they say?

Trying on the 3 pendants today. While I was out with the green trying on clothes, a sales assistant from China noticed it and remarked it went well with the dress. She wasn't even the one helping me out with the fitting

YY replied saying that the craftsman followed the shape of the jadeite piece. Is your green pendant similarly crooked or uneven in contour to begin with? -_-

Nope. I am bringing it to my jeweller. I doubt YY will fix the issue.

Or maybe I will just wear it. Not obvious when worn. I am not happy but am also too fed up to fight it.

Could you send me a couple of photos of yours from the side showing it's uneven, if you don't mind?

Why fed up?

I think you do well to show so much self restraint, if I had access to that many beautiful stones Burmesedaze my bank balance would suffer...:saint:

Playing with my jeweller's donuts. These are from their mine, when there were still water jadeite deposits :)

Might get the one on my finger for a ring.
