The moonstones turned out to be just over 3 cts each. Oh well. Still clean, transparent with a blue sheen.

My little Mogok spinels arrived today too.

Taken under white LED light and by the window under overcast skies at 6pm.

No plans. Just collecting first while I can.

The moonstone pair will be earrings. Once I find a larger pair to go atop them. Larger than my other pairs but smaller than this new pair, that is.

Haha nooo I'm just not a blue girl. Oddly enough I always wear yellow gems with the rare blue dress that I own!

I was admiring aquamarines after the Meghan wedding craze and I remember thinking "So beautiful....pity they are all so blue"

Are you collecting in lieu of your work stint being over? I'm imaging you zipping back just to buy gems when you return home!

You've seen it before. I posted a few months back in this thread somewhere.

Yes I know what you mean! My jewellers don't really like aquas. They don't think they are worth the steep price here for old stock deeper blue ones.

Since there are no pads here, I just bought this online when it popped up. 1.29ct. Ceylon. No heat, so claimed by seller. Will need a lab memo when I get it and if I decide to keep it.

I was sharing a few ebay links with my jeweller and she came across this. Copper rutiles in quartz carved in the shape of a gourd and requested me to get this for her. China eBay seller. It arrived today and although the polish is a lil rough, I find it intriguing! I love how they curve in a coil around 1 end.

I'm out of the country now but this just got shown to my jewellers by a collector that needs cash and is selling at the 18k gold setting and diamond cost.

Mogok Bawmar mine sapphire cabs in 18k yg plated with platinum. Price is pretty good so I'm getting them

Sharp eyes that's what I thought too when my jeweller sent me the photos.

At slightly lower than cost since the sapphire price isn't factored into that. I would also be paying in Myanmar kyat. Not usd$.

Sending them to the lab to check out the gold, diamonds and cabs are legit.

The HK side sent me these 2 pics of 2 ring settings that can fit my pink tourmaline. Total lol. None of them look appealing. Not because of the design, but rather, the photography!

That's what I thought too, the 2nd. Like a pink flower popping out of messy shrubs . Nah when I replied them they had left the office. Another day! They have to lmk how much they cost too.

They don't! That's why they don't even have their inventory up on site. I'm sure they have CADs though. But probably not on their phones.

Collected the sapphire and diamond earrings just now, while en route to the domestic airport. Hehehe

Couldn't resist trying them on. But they don't go with my pearl and yellow gold necklace today.

That belongs to my jeweller now w were browsing ebay and they wanted it but don't have a credit card. The coil of the copper rutiles is really neat!

Didn't take them out of the nickel mounts to weigh. I would say 3 to 5 ct each?

They are temporary nickel settings plated gold light as aluminium!

I saw this on FB yesterday. A light peach pink spinel over 2 cts and for just us$60!

Wanted to grab it. But my jewellers pointed out the greasy texture with the microscopic inclusions. Sob
