Yayyyy stones are here. Thank you @swaye2010 for encouraging me to just go with SG. I am super super impressed with both of these. I wish they were *slightly* more brown, but that's a very nitpicky detail. Overall the amazing cut and slight brown color are awesome. The moval is literally everything I wanted. It's antique faceted and chunky. But so hard to take pics of. My phone gets very confused about the facets and either gets blurry or makes it look like a weird jumble. Here are my best attempts. Moval pics first, then ACC.

20190603_174719.jpg 20190603_174726.jpg 20190603_175400.jpg 20190603_175019.jpg 20190603_175033.jpg 20190603_174807.jpg 20190603_175014.jpg 20190603_174951.jpg 20190603_174832.jpg 20190603_174955.jpg
Well hot damn! I am loving that moval. I didn’t realize that was what you ordered. They are such a lovely color with a real antique feel. I love the halo with the yellow cup. I think that will really bring out the color.

The next ACC I try, I am going to go for one of these champagne colors. I am feeling any type of colored stone these days. Maybe because it is spring but I feel I need a little more color in my rotation.

Are you having David Klass make these or do you have someone local? I am excited to see something with this new shape. I bet there will be a lot of moval orders now. There was a beautiful diamond one that I think ‘Niel’ did recently?

I don’t see an obvious bow tie. Is this a crushed ice cut? I prefer the diamond cut which is a mixture of the crushed ice & brilliant. You get a little more sparkle then just the crushed ice on its own. The video is quick so it is hard to tell...

These came out great! Next on my wishlist is a 3 stone acc ring in rose gold...i think it definitely needs to be champagne colored stones after seeing this :)

I think if it is the diamond cut, you should be ok. The videos are so quick sometimes it is hard to tell. The other people that have gotten the diamond cut have been pleased with it.

I literally gasped when I saw these pics. So gorgeous and I cannot wait to see the finished products! You have amazing taste!

haha I gasped when I opened the box! I am SO pleasantly surprised by the moval. I was more confident in the ACC bc so many other ppl have ordered amazing ones from them. But I was freaked out about the moval!

Yeah, I really like this version of champagne. I could definitely see more brown, but I'd rather have it be too light than too dark (since overly dark brown would hide some of the awesome faceting). I don't have anyone local (sadly!) I think I might ask DK to do it, but not 100% sure.

Well it rocks....can’t wait to see it. You should get a quote from David and also one from Sam from Debebian’s. I know I go on about him but he does such good work. They are only a couple blocks from each other. At least you can have 2 prices to compare....

I like that idea! It also helps that I'm only like 1.5 hours drive from LA and could go visit in person sometime over summer. Always want an excuse to oogle some gorgeous bling :P2

Can someone check my ring? I feel like the lower prongs might be off, and the stone just looks kind of cloudy. The setting looks better than I expected overall!

Thank you all for your help!! =)2
Edited: this is the prong that seems off. Also, could the cloudy appearance be bad lighting or..?

My new earrings from Starsgem!

https://www.reddit.com/r/Moissanite/comments/bwjegb/earrings_from_starsgem/

They're waiting to be shipped, as I ordered a second pair, (yes, I know), that will be simple 6.5mm DEF H&A studs set in 14K WG. Lucy was my helper!

My apologies for having to insert a link instead of a picture--I'm still learning!

Thank you to everyone for introducing me to moissanite.

I like "sparkly" and I'm pretty sure these will sparkle a LOT. They'll also, (I hope), cover the piercings in my earlobes.

If I look for it I guess that prong looks a little different. But honestly I have to really make an effort to "find" anything off about it. I think the videos just aren't great quality. I doubt it's cloudy at all in person.

Sometimes it is just how the prong sits on the facet and there isn’t much they can do. If they start adjusting the prong, it has a tendency to make the stone go crooked. These are really blown up pics and it would be hard to see this in real life.

Is this stone colorless?

It is a colorless stone. It just doesn’t look right to me- I don’t want it to come and be a dud
I feel guilt coming back with any issues because I already had a recut done

i think the prongs will look fine irl, they are magnified in the photos. the stone looks dirty to me actually, could you ask them to clean it and retake a couple of photos before shipping out? i don't think it's too much to ask when you're buying something without being able to inspect it in person before purchase.

I don’t think it is going to look cloudy. Just looking at the pics, it seems like they didn’t give a chance for the camera to focus on the stone. I would ask for a few more clearer pics.

This cut really works best in G/H or warmer because you loose the dimension in the stone by having the darker Maltese cross in the middle. It just doesn’t happen when the whole stone is colorless. I know colorless is a preference thing though and there are a few people that have received them and been happy. I can’t remember the name of the lady but she posted her’s some pages back. She had a colorless version of this Rachel ring so you might want to look at her’s to get a better idea of how it will look IRL.

I just sent a request that they clean it and take a few pictures. I hope it looks better. I’m quite impressed by the actual setting though

I actually think your setting looks better than the one I got from Starsgem. I think your ring should be fine. =)2 Is this rose gold? I do agree that the facets are hard to see, but it's probably most likely due to the photo quality.

It is rose gold. I’ve been on a kick lately- I think it might look better on my skin than white metals.

Oh, same. 8-) My first two moissanite pieces were white gold but I don't like how it looks against my skin tone. Been doing yellow gold for my current pieces and am much happier with those.

just when I think I'm close to a decision, something else comes along! I LOVE this moval shape.
While I do like this champagne color, I think I want to stay in the GH range for my current project. Now I need to visit Starsgem again. Thanks for all the pictures, I can't wait to see what you do with it.

Omg ring twins besides mine is white gold! It came out beautiful.
The stone will look cloudy if they don’t have quality cameras. The ACC is hard to capture in pictures
