When I last diamond shopped, Lazare were ideal but not necessarily H&A, whereas Lazare's site now says they are H&A, although it's buried in the FAQ and they don't really seem to trumpet it. http://lazarediamonds.com/diamond_faq.htm

Anyone weigh in on the reliability of their H&A pattern in stones currently being cut?

Hi...I don't know if there is a industry specific 'Standard' for H&A's, seems it comes down to what is acceptable by the consumers. Sellers like Whiteflash & BGD have established their own brand of H&A's both of which are AGSL graded.

To clarify, AGSL does not grade H&A's, the lab reports have the header brand name of Whiteflash & BGD on their reports which they call their H&A brand. I am confusing, hope I have explained this correctly.

Why don't you get a Lazare vendor to show the scopes to you and see it for yourself

I understand there is no certification or grading for H&A - that wasn't really the question. The question is if anyone knows whether currently cut Lazare's generally have a H&A pattern as a matter of course.

I'm in a small market and no one here has scopes of any kind, lol. My question is if anyone with access to such things knows if Lazares currently ARE generally being turned out with H&As. It's a change from when I last looked if they are.

Some other threads with some interesting tidbits - though none explicitly answer your question re. robustness of H&A patterning -

MakingTheGrade just had a stunning fivestone made with LK diamonds: https://www.pricescope.com/blog/jewel-week-sparkling-classic-five-stone-diamond-ring
You might try starting a thread calling her and seeing if she has more input?

Otherwise, honestly, I'd just call the company and talk to one of their reps. At the very least you'll get an idea of how they're defining the term. FWIW my impression (which could well be incomplete/incorrect) is that the stones themselves are cut to exacting standards, whether or not they're "true" H&A by a HRD-esque definition, and that they're beautiful, but they carry not-insignificant premiums when purchased retail.

Thanks Yssie, I'd seen those threads doing a search but I really appreciate your taking the time to reply.

That 5 stone ring is stunning!
