Back to drool again Missy! Man, that is a gorgeous stone! All of you gals upgrading to honker antique cuts are making me want one!! Of course, when I think about giving up my oval to do it, I start to have heart palpitations (though Ari has told me that several people have asked about my ring and that he'd be happy to buy it from me!).....must win lottery...must win lottery.....
Oh my goodness! You could take somebody's eye out with that!!
I think I have discovered true love I have never really drooled over one of these cuts before, but crikey, it has absolutely taken my breath away! Enjoy it, you lucky lady
Thank you so much everyone...I am going to respond to each and everyone of you but since I am pressed for time right now and I figured you might prefer more pics right now and individual responses later...hope that's OK!
Pictures continued...(and I promise that if I get a camera and manage to learn how to use it I will post a gazillion more pics but for now I hope these will do).
Last picture in this post is of my grandparents...my grandmother Beatrice who the ring is named after (thanks Enerch!). You can see some of the lovely creaminess in the ring reflecting from the cream frame of the photos.
more of my grandmother and the ring. And a few more family photos. The upper left photo is a 4 generations photo of my great grandmother (original owner of the ring I used to wear), my grandmother, my mom and ofc me.
I AM AWAKE AND STILL IN LOVE! If only men were diamonds!
When the weather is fine you must take outdoor shots.
BTW I adore the setting. The crown fits Queen Bea.
Wear it in health!
ETA: I see I posted while you were--the sunlight and the cat is lovely. Are you getting used to the size and weight yet? I found it look some getting "used" to.
A pic of my grandma...I love her so much and miss her everyday. She was the most kindhearted and lovely person I ever had the honor or knowing and loving (besides my dh that is) and she would probably be aghast at this whole ring thing because she wasn't into stuff like this but I know she would love the sentiment behind it at least.
Oh my gosh missy, this looks absolutely fantastic on your hand! It looks perfect, really...one question - how will you possibly get anything done today? If this was my ring all I could manage would be to sit and stare at it for hours lol!
I really love the setting. Here's a closeup.
Thanks Sharon!! LOL Junebug, thank you! I know...I am so behind schedule right now and I so want to answer all the previous posts from last night but I must get going in a few minutes. Just trying to squeeze a few more pics in and I'll be back later!
Here's one with the ring and a pic of us that a friend took a few winters ago.
