Jewelry Box

A week or so back @holeydonut started a thread about the box he received with his BGD Black stone. I had shared the box I got was very different than those being described for Black or Signature stones others were reporting.

As many of you know my fiancee's stone is a BGD Blue and I had a custom setting crafted by DK.

This past weekend we retrieved the box and the reasoning became very clear, it was a box that DK provided, not BGD.

As you will notice there is a LED light inside that shines on the bling. My fiancee absolutely LOVED that feature. While the photo appears blue inside the box, it's actually an optical illusion as it's really black IRL.

Also the ribbon is what I initially proposed with, and then when I popped the question in front of friends and family she got the custom ring.

Sorry i was so late getting the pictures. I've been absolutely slammed at work.

It's actually her favorite part of the story. We were up late one night, and like usual we were laughing and joking around while wrestling around in the bed (not THAT type of wrestling...just clean fun, lol). Although I had a real ring in the process, we had a moment where our eyes locked, emotions were high and I told her how much I loved her, couldn't imagine my life without her and that I wanted her to marry me. She said yes. I told her she deserved more but I saw some ribbon laying on her nightstand and I cut to length and tied around her finger. She told me she didn't care about a diamond or anything but just wanted to spend the rest of her life with me.

Fast forward a bit, and she got a second proposal in front of friends & family in public where I dropped to a knee, and popped the question again. This time she got her dream setting and BGD super ideal diamond. That same night we put the real ring on her finger is also the night the ribbon got put in the ring box.

That is an awesome story Sledge, thanks for sharing. I think I've been focusing so much on this piece of jewelry that I'm missing the bigger picture. The feelings and events leading up to the start of this jewelry hunt are what's important, not so much the ring. But getting past the ring-shopping is a great feeling for myself haha.
