Just got word from ED. Supplier said the Diamond was sold already.
I do have https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-di...g-color-si1-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-4531548 on hold
What a rollercoaster. Looks great to me, idealscope?
Ask how much they can knock the price off with price scope discount
So frustrating!!! This one is okay. The clarity on this one would bother me as it is just not as clean as the H was and has a feather (crack) on the girdle that I can see on the video.
I'd personally go with Whiteflash. I was just trying to get you the largest possible stone.

You can say that again.
This one looks great if eye clean, feather is ok, etch channel noted isn't causing an issue and that the grade making cloud isn't having a negative effect, discount's normally for bank wire.
I personally don't mind a feather on the girdle, I would not rule out a stone because of this, until it is examined by a gemologist in hand. There are many threads you can read about this with expert opinions about their experiences.
Fortunately the cloud is only the 4th inclusion listed so shouldn't be significant, probably the feather contributing most to the si1.
I think it is very likely to be eye clean and lots of various inclusions contributing to si1 I prefer to one large crystal making the inclusion.
Edit: I would get the gemologist to examine in hand rather than just taking the virtual salesman examining the same video you are.

JA do additional discount as well as bankwire called James Allen advantage discount (previously called pricescope discount, usually a few hundred dollars off in addition to the wire discount).

@Gadabout44 Has this one been posted/considered?

I'd still want an expert eye on a cloud inclusion in an SI grade to be safe.
Also, did you check out the other WF diamond DS posted?
This looks very nice, suggested by DS. https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3970287.htm
The great thing about WF will be that she CAN increase the size as funds allow. WF allows you to upgrade to any diamond of greater cost. You don't have to spend double like JA, BN and others. I also doubt her cousins will have anything close to this cut quality. So, your girls' will be a sparkle bomb.
Sorry, did we axe the BGD 1.203 G SI1 suggested here:https://www.briangavindiamonds.com/...1.203-g-si1-round-diamond-ags-bl-104067041006 ?
Edit: If future upgrades will be desired, then I would stick to WF because of their generous upgrade policies.
We ruled out I color because she had seen an I and didn't like it.
Hello! Sorry for the delay, I've been juggling my accounting duties as well as discretely browsing through this thread. Which is not a problem for me, I'm trying my best to make a purchase as soon as I can. Its been quite a long wait since I've first posted in this forum.
I did not put much thought into:
https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3970287.htm
suggested by DS. Its under 1.25 and it is an H. Although I am open to a higher quality H then I suppose this stone meets that criteria. The 1.24 bothers me. But I understand its just a fraction of a difference. ANother thing is that it is at the top of my budget. So with the carats and color slightly below my desired numbers, it is also at the top of my budget. Is this still a good buy??
As for the stone from BGD, it is just too small for the top price of my budget unfortunately.
Size goals...these have potential. I can't recall if they will provide ASET, but these are pretty solid. They show how to read an ASET on their site, so maybe they will provide them...
https://www.adiamor.com/Diamonds/1.31-ct-G-VS2-Affinity-Cut-Round-Diamond/D41504711 {clouds need to be cleared, but at VS2 less concerning that SI1. The numbers look good and video is nice; tiny blemish may or may not be an issue at 9:00}
https://www.adiamor.com/Diamonds/1.25-ct-E-SI1-Affinity-Cut-Round-Diamond/D40588205 {$7818, Great specs. High color. No pesky clouds. Wish it had a video}. I still like the WF stone, but this is way less.
Edited to add. Adiamor's version of Tiffany Soli.

Wild card (&over budget). Emerald cut, F VVS2. 1.42 carat. Good spread. This would be bigger by a clear margin than your current round goal and make it harder to compare to cousins by changing shape. But, she has to like ECs.

I hope you're not entering diamond angles in your numbers columns.
If it was me, if upgrades are ever going to be on the table, WF is the easy option. Personally I think the JA appears to have better optical symmetry than the 1.31 but also a good option.
Upon further inspection, the stone from WF is a AGS H. I just released a diamond on hold that was also an AGS H, and when GOG compared it to a GIA H, it fell short and looked more like a high end GIA I which I want to avoid if I am going for a GIA G
JA diamond: referring to this one correct?

What do you think of the ASET of the diamond from Adiamor?
AGS H is not consistently lower than GIA H, you can ask WF to send side by side pictures next to GIA H if they have any in stock, their opinion on whether it is a high or low H etc.
The ASET is poorly taken and I think if well taken you'd have a fairly nice over all ASET with 1 area of leakage due to variation in the half pavilion mains 11oclock. I think it somewhat falls short of the calibre of stones you've been looking at, although it would be a nice stone if you're not wanting the best of the best for cut. It wouldn't be for me..
We are seeing so many of these lately. It must be a change from one of the big supplies. I went and examined a diamond for a friend with my trusty ASET and light-kit last weekend and it has the same variation issues.with 1 area of leakage due to variation in the half pavilion mains 11oclock.
