I think is is pretty safe to say that there is no way he actually bought the Tiffany ring... and that last post scolding all of us was just to save face.
LOOK as his oringinal post!

Hi everyone-

I have learned a lot on this forum the past few days. However, the more I read, the more confused I am. I have a small budget and would like to buy my gf a very nice ring. My budget is between $2,500-$3,000. Please advise on the best stone that I can find for my tight budget. I am just afraid that she will not like the ring and will think the stone will be too small.

Thank you everyone!

Matt ...

There is no way the person who wrote THIS would then go out and drop 50K+ on a ring. Not on a "tight budget".

Gonzodogg,

You need to re-read what my previous post. I did not scold the people on the forum. I just said that I was surprised by the comments by the forum. You really need to revisit the dictionary for the word "scold." Although I did mention that I had a "tight" budget, but it doesn''t mean that I don''t have the means to spend $$$$$$. I just thought many of the forum members came to a rash decision, obviously I didn''t elaborate or justify my reasons of why I decided to UP my budget but that is aside from the point especially when many of the forum members thought that I "won the lottery" or "broke into the Tiffany''s" or "fiananced the ring with a big credit card limit." I agree, they are all valid assumptions given the fact that I initially had a "tight" budget. I didn''t think that a ring could cost that much, but after talking to some buddies of mine and knowing what kind of taste that my girlfriend had, I decided to really get her the best because I think this should be the ring that was given to her to wear for the rest of her life (I do not believe in upgrades).

Hope that clarifies some confusion on the board.

Well good for you MB! Good luck with the proposal, and I hope she doesn''t faint when she sees the ring!

Do you think you could find it in your heart to post pictures of the ring? Maybe even on her hand once she says yes? We love hand pictures... although not in a weird way you understand.

MB,
Good luck with your proposal and please come back with hand pics. I think we need to start a new thread and start over.

I''m wondering what the purpose of this thread is. We''re in "Show Me The Ring", but have we seen the ring? Nope. All we''ve got is 5 pages of nothing. MB, what''s your point? I don''t get it.

Scold ( P )
v. scold·ed, scold·ing, scolds
v. tr.
To reprimand or criticize harshly and usually angrily.

I am pretty sure that is exactly what you did.
And after all that, he continues to defend himself without any pictures... did I prove my point? I''m done with this thread.

I know that I said that I was done with this thread but there is a line that he is way beyond.
Please take a look at what he posted on my other thread here...
https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-turn-thank-you-all-so-much.39263/page-2

Let me just say that I realize that it was my post that got him all worked up to begin with and in hindsight I probably should have just kept my mouth shut but I thought that he was long gone from PS. (It had been a while since he posted anything) I did not realize that he has been reading the whole time and that he would react the way that he has.
WOW. Now I am done with this.
