I think I am in the minority here, but I much prefer the classic round solitaire on you vs anything else. Congrats on your upcoming anniversary!
If you are after a genuine old Cut diamond Old World Diamonds is another place to go and have a look at his inventory;

Diamonds are a very personal choice every person here will choose a different option on you, which one do YOU like?
They all look beautiful. You really can wear any shape.
One thing that helped me was looking in a mirror instead of down at my hand. Somehow it gave me a different perspective.
I totally do not have lovely hands, but I wear what I like anyway.![]()
Yes, the T&Co round soli. I don’t think that your new ring has to be a Tiffany, there are some great settings inspired by the classic T&Co setting.Thanks so much for the feedback!!
...just to be clear, are you referring to the classic round solitaire at tiffany??
I only really like step cuts, especially the ones without cut corners & square ones seem to work best... The one above looks very right & the setting is also a favorite - the baguette sides to give the impression of an all-diamond object while stil being as wearable as any simple band which is tall order.
Why this cut? - for the simple pattern that shows up clearly (as opposed to a blurr of reflections - bright as they might be) & that ca be even brighter seen from a distance - this does depend of proportions & shows in a mirror better or only, not necesarily at arm length.

Then, the setting below seems perfect for a future colored stone ring, if you will want one.
That ring is a 3.6 f color carre cut. I do find it extremely striking!
@Big Fat Facets ,
Since you seem interested in old cuts, let me share this gorgeous 3 carat antique pear that I found in an estate trunk show at Shreve. It is I color and I forgot VS what. It faces up super white. I wish I had it in my budget to get this. Let me know if you want more details.

Let me go back to Shreve and ask the one sales lady that knows I covet that piece. I think it was $49k. Over 3 carats. Big. Faced up big. Very fine bezel setting.OH MY GOD!! that enormous pear is spectacular!!! i just LOVE old cut pears. The new ones, not so much...
And its already bezeled. I suppose it could be made into a convertible piece...ring/pendant...ive seen those before...
i seriously need to focus on finding an anniversary diamond(ring)..
im having a bit of a time trying to narrow down the cut/make of diamond that i want as it is, already...
is it certed??
okay lljsmom, what are the details???
Actually it was the one at stanford. And in SF, Shreve has moved. Their old location is now Harry Winston.it looks fantastic on you!!
