thanks for the recommendation!
Im most appreciative to the plethora of the sparkly beauty of diamonds. So I must put in quite a concerted effort to narrow it down. I've found that by seeing and trying numerous cuts/makes, sizes, carats weights, and the like... is tremendously helpful for me. Additionally, by documenting my journey and experience it helps me make sense of everything diamond related that often times is overwhelming and feels a lot like specs and bits and bobs swimming all around in my head. Unlike some individuals that just "know" what is perfect for them right from the get go..
I am not quite that way...its more of a process for me...
Feedback is supremely helpful...which is why I share as I do.
And if by documenting my journey i might help somebody else, then i am all for it!!

Yes, the T&Co round soli. I don’t think that your new ring has to be a Tiffany, there are some great settings inspired by the classic T&Co setting.

I only really like step cuts, especially the ones without cut corners & square ones seem to work best... The one above looks very right & the setting is also a favorite - the baguette sides to give the impression of an all-diamond object while stil being as wearable as any simple band which is tall order.

Why this cut? - for the simple pattern that shows up clearly (as opposed to a blurr of reflections - bright as they might be) & that ca be even brighter seen from a distance - this does depend of proportions & shows in a mirror better or only, not necesarily at arm length.

Then, the setting below seems perfect for a future colored stone ring, if you will want one.

thanks for elaborating! that ring is a 3.6 f color carre cut. I do find it extremely striking! and much less common than an emerald cut. yes, I too greatly favor side baguettes...

This place has the MOST amazing settings,
i just love how low they are and hand forged and immensely comfortable.
Love their liberal use of gold.
But seems like the diamond prices aren't competitive in its respective category...
old style cuts: transitional, oec, antique cushion, antique emerald...

And its already bezeled. I suppose it could be made into a convertible piece...ring/pendant...ive seen those before...
i seriously need to focus on finding an anniversary diamond(ring)..
im having a bit of a time trying to narrow down the cut/make of diamond that i want as it is, already...
is it certed??

Let me go back to Shreve and ask the one sales lady that knows I covet that piece. I think it was $49k. Over 3 carats. Big. Faced up big. Very fine bezel setting.

Actually it was the one at stanford. And in SF, Shreve has moved. Their old location is now Harry Winston.
