I was having a conversation with someone just yesterday who was denied an opportunity because she was white.
She applied for a job and they said she couldn''t hire her. They said that if her last name was Gonzales or Rodriguez they would have. NOT KIDDING.
She is thinking of bringing them to court.

Yes, when I applied to University of Michigan in 2000.

I do agree with you though. I am wrapping up my degree in sociology and have taken many racism classes, and of course power and racism go hand in hand.

I think sometimes the majority doesnt truly understand racism and being a minority, myself included.
