Hi all!

I'm contemplating a rose gold DBTY bracelet for my birthday, and really like the look of BGD's and WF's ready made ones with 6 pointers - BGD's has 5 diamonds, and WF's has 8. I'm curious to know if anyone has either of these, and what you think about the size of the stones? Are they just too teeny weeny, or do they suit the delicate chain? I already have a 6 pointer 3ctw tennis bracelet but find it too blingy for every day wear (I know, blasphemy!) I also love the look of the WF two tone one with a rose gold chain and white gold bezels, but I worry about the bezels needing rhodium plating over time (I've been told this can't be done) and looking a bit blah.

Thanks in advance!

I went through a similar dilemma when I was deciding on DBTY stones - I think I’ve seen every single remotely relevant picture ever posted on PS :mrgreen2:

I didn’t want to feel even a hint of culet on slight pressure, which set a hard upper limit of ~12pointers. Given that, for me, the biggest consideration was proportionality of stones and chain - I felt a single 1mm chain was just too delicate, and heftier 1.2/1.5mm chains swallowed smaller stones. I went with 10pt melee - small enough to preserve the delicate DBTY aesthetic, big enough to make an impact from afar :kiss2:

@diamondseeker2006 and @m-2-b have/had 14/15pt melee on 1.5mm chain - perfect stone/chain proportions IMO :cool2:

@yssie you are amazing, thank you so much for all of your help! I did get a price from BGD for platinum bezels, but I'm not sure I want to swing the extra $$ on that, when I could elect to have slightly bigger stones in all rose gold instead. Oh the trials we have to face :wink2: The OCD aspect of me likes that the 6 pointers woud be the same size as the ones in my tennis bracelet, for stacking purposes.

Hmm, the plot thickens!

I’m also on the hunt for a DBTY bracelet! @yssie would love to see your bracelet with the 10pointers! And what width chain did you go with?

Half the price is enticing...but I’m with you, I now feel like I want the best even if it’s teeny weeny. :roll

I left out a bit of the story for simplification - mine is actually an anklet/bracelet conversion piece from WF ::) I adore it!! It's got (1) 1mm chain with (5) 10pt ACA melee for the bracelet portion, and the anklet addition has another 1mm chain with (3) extra 10pointers for a total of (2) 1mm chains and (8 ) 10pointers, 0.8ctw.

I remember this @yssie , sheer beautiful brilliance! Do you feel the 1mm chain with the 10 pointers is adequate, from both visual and safety perspectives?

The bracelet feels much too delicate for regular wear - one 1mm chain is just not sufficient. My WF rep felt the same way and suggested 1.2-1.5mm chain instead.

The only reason I went with 1mm was because I intended to wear it primarily as an anklet, and two 1mm chains mitigates the sturdiness concerns.
